  • Rockin' song..

  • Rory had what most musicians strive for there whole life that was the respect and admiration from his fans and colleages don't really think he gave a shit bout rok and roll hall of fame or any of that garbage

  • best live performer ever!!!

  • I love the sidelong grin he gives to Mark Felthem-the man always enjoyed his work and played so well. God Bess Rory.

  • steve ray vaughn played here to...or?

  • Rory, nunca defraudaba, tuve el placer de verle en directo en Ondarroa (Vizcaya) en el año 87 , una makina de guitarrista

  • the allman brothers were great that day too

  • Oh Rory, maybe you come back again

  • Jimmy Hendrix was once asked: "How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist of all time?". He answered: "I dunno, just ask Rory Gallagher".

  • @CDelannois Rory Gallagher was the finest blues rock guitarist on his generation. i can never understand how guitarists like The Edge can get in to "Top guitarist" lists, and rory gets nowhere.

  • Thanks for posting !

  • Whats with the crazy editing?..... did you cut out the solo?

  • GROOVY MAN GROOVY.ITS RORY

  • Nedimmm jesi li to ti?????:)))

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • what appened to his strato?

  • Each song was played if it would be the last ! Can you imagine the sheer energy and the raw power of Rory and his band ?? NO you can't if you never saw this man live... He was and still is my inspiration as a guitarist and singer...I will walk in his shadow forever...

  • @wgbdo I saw Rory once, front row, touch the mic stand close. He opened for Kansas, and I think my seven mates and I were the only Rory fans in attendence, at the start of the show. He burst into Take What I Want, the eight of us went nuts and by the end of the song, the other 3000 were in the Rory groove. The more we loved it, the more he loved it, he fed off our energy and us from his. It peaked with an encore of Bullfrog Blues, head bobbed with Rory. Kansas never played. Nobody cared.

  • Want to support Rory Gallager? Put him in your "top guitarists lists", recommend the best clips on facebook, blog about him! Do what you can so Rory Gallager, maybe one day, get the attention he deserves! My friends would probably think he was one of the Oasis (Liam and Noel Gallagher) brothers! And no, that's not a joke! Now, go support Rory Gallagher :)

  • Great clip.... just beautiful.

I miss him so very much. !!!!!

  • :24 EXTREME CLOSE UP, WHOOAAAAAAAAA

  • I saw Rory live in 1982, he was amazing.

  • 3:17 the guy in blue on the right is his brother Donal Gallagher

  • where's the strat?!? never seen him without it before! probably the most underrated guitarist ever though, definitely the finest heavy rock/blues player in my opinion, great sound and his solos were inventive and melodic rather than blindly noodling away like so many players in this genre do

  • rory with gerry mcavoy thee bad

  • i bet rory gallagher and phil lynott and luke kelly are up there somewhere rocking for the emerald isle

  • My name's Nadine (pronounced Nih-dine), I'm Irish and I love this song :D

  • Rory was the greatest- but that seemed way too short. No guitar solo? This has been butchered. Rory would have stretched it out, given the fans more.

  • only a Rory Gallagher concert goer KNOWS the FEELING. The late GREAT RORY GALLAGHER........TRUE HEART AND SOUL for the MUSIC.

  • Rory never got the recognition he served. You could change this.

There are so many vids, where you could tell the truth:

Rory Gallagher is the best Live-Blues guitarplayer.

Everybody who have seen him live can confirm this fact.

  • his last show in Greece was in 1994 but i was 3 years old now we can hear his songs by cds and pc he was rock legend

  • never saw him using such a guitar...

    McAvoy is great as always!

  • I meet him first, in 1969, the star club in Hamburg, the impression, a mighty, earthquake, I never saw a guitars player, like him, again, Eric Clapton, forget it,

Rory, was the real god, for blues and rock guitar, the example, for Brain May (Queen) Gary Moore, Raul Rogers, and others, a simple Vox AC 30 amplifiers, a Stratocaster, a rangemaster booster, that, was all, he no need, big plexi marchall stags, but, the sound, the best, I ever hear,

  • unfortunately, Rory, never, the recognition, appreciation and respect, in his live, hey played with blues, from emotion, not for the money, Rory, on stage what 1000% pure blues and rock energy, in the all time guitars hero list, the top 100, you do not find him, it is really to be ashamed, that Rory lost the, attention Rory is my all time favorit guitars hero, Rory for ever,

    Ralph, from germany,

  • @ralphhealey Nicely said Ralph. Could've said it better. This brilliant man hasn't had the exposure he so truely deserves. Rock in Peace Rory !!!

  • @ralphhealey dito.

    matthias, 17, from germany

  • @CrazyEiche - I meet him first, in 1969, the star club in Hamburg, the impression, a mighty, earthquake, its chance my live, I never saw a guitars player, like him, again, Eric Clapton, forget it, Rory, was the real god, for blues and rock guitar, the example, for Brain May (Queen) Gary Moore, Raul Rogers, and others, a simple Vox AC 30 amplifiers, a Stratocaster, a rangemaster booster, that, was all, he no need, big plexi marchall stags, but, the sound, the best, I ever hear,

  • amazing.. that's some oldschool editing, look at the zoom :D

  • Wow that was great thanks for posting, His bass player is out of this world!

RIP Rory God Bless your beautiful soul!

  • And I met him... well, the bass player, but it was great :)

It's about two years ago, in Rommerskirchen-Sinsteden in Germany... very small concert, but it was amazing...

  • It's November In Ireland, It's 10:30AM, It's cold it's dark, it's raining outside...

Watching this makes me warm - you can almost feel the sunshine...

    Thanks for posting.

  • Is that Cory Haim playing the harmonica?

  • Better than in 1982, when the Saxophones blew it away!

  • W T F Thats the worst editing that i've ever seen It was like a time warp lol

  • at 2:40 cmon!!!!!!!! -_-*

great song btw, but would be nice if this whas the full version.

  • editing. laME

  • started out as a good boogie tune. but yah know the 80's, it was not fashionable to do a guitar solo. too mad the mtv gen never got to hear the great rory guitar player there in deutsche landdddddddddddddd.......

by dah way, thats a chuck berry tune, yes indeed it it isssssssssss........

  • La gratte de Rory n'est pas une LP junior ou autre mais bien une Melody Maker (le singlecoil est remplacé par un humbucker, pour les puristes).

    For Ever The best ......

    R.I.P. Thanks.......

  • peace & love and understanding!

  • did he use fuzz kinda sounds like it

  • It seems like there is a big chunk out of this video? I doubt Rory wouldn't have left them all without a solo! Anyone know?

  • Definately at around 2:40 and 2:39, well spotted.

  • He did use that LP Jr style guitar a bit in this era.

It isn't completely rare to see him without a strat or tele, he frequently used a Gretsch for Bullfrog Blues, I've seen him with a Mustang before and he used a Danelectro for many recordings.

  • It's a '50 Gibson Melody Maker, with a humbucker replacing the stock single coil.

  • Ah, I'm not great on Gibson guitars, I always assumed it was an LP Jr.

  • yeah why no strat?!

  • In 2003 i´ve been at the Loreley´,when böhse onkelz played there

  • It's so strange to see ROry without a strat!

  • I was there. Nazareth played too. Jethro Tull. Bought some H**h off some English hippie. Status Quo.

  • Back when music was fun!!!

  • Magnificant!!!!!

  • Thanks. What guitar is Rory playing?

  • looks like a Les Paul Jr. which is very strange. He probably only used it for one tune. Never seen him without a strat or tele unless he was playing acoustically.

  • Hi

It looks like a Gibson Melody Maker.Cheers Krahsnif.

  • Looks like an Epiphone or another copy to me.

  • I think he had a TAYLOR!

  • Great place , great crowd ! Rory said he was pleased with all . Short but good .

  • I love it. It appears the guitar solo is cut out?

  • Rory only played about 40 Minutes or so. It was a festival with several bands (e.g. eric burdon & the animals) and Rory was just one of the openers. He tried to play as much songs as he could in that short time. That's probably why the song seems to be incomplete.

  • Thank you very much! ALso completely new to me!

  • You're welcome.

  • First time I've this great footage,looks lke a great atmosphere!!thanks CandyT41.
