Such an awesome story line. The guy gets rescued and just decided the best thing to do was to start gunning down everybody. This story gives such a sense of purpose to play the game.
@Kerozen100 In his defense, he knows that the WEC (read: world government) wants his head on a platter for what he'd just done at the end of the previous game; single-handedly destroy an orbital weapons platform. And as far as he knows, his only surviving ally from the resistance betrayed and tried to kill him just before he did so.
i don't know... the fallout series was revived, and fallout 3 is great, same for warcraft (though i prefer war 2 wich was awesome)... there is gonna be a sequel to ascendancy (one of the best strategy games I have ever played) too and I suppose it will be nice.

I remember the first time I saw this intro, I was 12 years old and I couldn't get work in W95 cause it said dos. So I tried to run it in dos shell. Then in DOS real mode worked. I didn't notice the volume of the speakers and I took a really big surprise when the silencer took the lifepod guard from the neck and blew his brains out, the sound of the shot scared me up, I jumped from my chair and I liked it a lot, this is better than No Remorse more bravely combat and better definition in video.
I conclude! game nowdays! are poor in storyline and purpose! definetly! just money money and money! and privatization cause not all people cana afford an online game! I cant pay 100 dollars even euros to play online! the only game I could play was Lineage 2. totally crap!! cmon game developers use your brain and do something better! once for all! I downloaded Guild Wars online! the amount of files tells you how empty looks the game!
Games like Mass Effect, Oblivion, and Spore say otherwise but like hell these things happen every day. When will small time low budget high quality video game developers come back?!
This game was awesome! It had the best gameplay and the best cinematics. I thought Origin made the best cinematics such as this, Crusader No Remorse, and the Wing Commander Series. I even seen the trailer for Privater II and I thought that looked great as well!
No Remorse was my first game on 386 PC system. And basicly its the best game I ever played. Then this No Regret came and it totally blew me brains away... Thanks for adding this video! Too bad we probably never gonna see the third part ;-( But then again, maybe EA (they realeased both Crusaders back in the days) could do something about it? Hmmmm... yeah, it would be nice.
Try the newest version of DOSbox. It works great now. At least for me. I think the emulator autoconfigures itself now, so you don't have to worry about the speed I think.
He's my fav guy from the 90s... love the UV gun and Freeze Gun... and i always pass the easter egg secret level =) even with the hardest difficulty. Love the xmas version of the game. ^^

There were plans for many crusader games. The only games, which were announced to be released, were: Crusader - No Mercy and Crusader 2 - No Survivors. But all of them got canceled at the end.
The were even complete scriptes, about the complete game.
Just search for the fanpage: echosector and you will find alot of documents, about the not released games!
holy cow, really? Why the heck don't they release them or at least try? This smells like money and if it came back, it would probably make boatloads again and be in glorious 3D. With a good design team behind this IP and that much work done, you have a guaranteed hit.

Its cool that the crusader story line is set in the Wing commander universe. I think thats pretty awesome if you ask me.

Wow it's from 1996. For not being 3D this rocks. Reminds me of Fallout (leveldesign) and Syndicate (kill effects)...

I miss a lot this game, u can use some DOS emulation but it'snt the same, it runs or to SLOW or to fast, and the music sounds choopy..... :(
