Feels like throwing around pebbles rather than using a powerful weapon. It would be so much cooler if evading attacks was what it is all about and then, when you get hit you really feel it or die instantly rather than just watching your health bar slowly go down. Would make battles far more immersive and interesting.

KOTOR 2 blew...I don't see how anyone could have enjoyed it more than the first one. The whole story progression and character development sucked balls.
And that is because a) it was rushed and b) bioware didn't make it. I would say theres a 75-80% chance of this being a successful mmo, especially now that wow is going down the toilet.
WoW has always been in the toilet. its the same thing over and over. u play as the town bitch. "hey u come here i need you to go to the haunted mansion out by the hill and kill 3 skeleton guys on ur way". just pointless quests like that over and over but its on PC and is constantly being added to which is why it looks awful and has so many players, instead of buying a new console they just buy a year of WoW (thats 15x12, u do the math)
I think your being a bit narrow minded. I agree that wow doesnt look very good. However that is just my opinion and i can see its appeal. I have always been a fan of the lord of the rings lore but didnt really like the mmo idea. I will push myself to play my first mmo though with this game. Purely becuase it is star wars.
KOTOR 2 was an excellent game, for those who bothered with the side character quests, the ending wasn't anywhere near as good as KOTOR's but the gameplay i loved, thet fact you could influence your party to the light or dark side, and what you did on each planet was affecting the economy in the EU, i enjoyed KOTOR 2 alot i would say 8/10 for KOTOR 2, 10/10 for KOTOR i agree the storyline for KOTOR was better, but charcter progression was more advance with KOTOR 2, with the prestige classes.

I have a strong feeling that the classes in TOR are going to have much more then what you label them as, like Sith Warrior having tanking abilities but ranged Dark Side Powers and Jedi having crowd control but also access to DPS (force speed much).
And you can't really blame anyone for comparing them to WoW, seeing as it was most everyone's first MMO.
Not everyone started with Everquest or Ultima Online.
WoW was my second, and my favourite to date. But man, this one and Aion are making me want to suicide... I won't be able to play all of them at the same time :|

Most fees are monthly, and most games don't get played for a month unless it's really good. On average payin for the month is pretty much the same as if the game was F2P.
This makes me sad. KOTR was probably one of the best rpgs ever produced for the Xbox. Hands down, Star Wars fans absolutely loved it.
Now they want to make a mmorpg into one of the most saturated markets, which is more or less dominated by WoW. They should of just stuck with KOTR 3 and they would of made so much more money.
All they do is place videos on how its going to be, and like said, its never really going to be released. Good luck competing with the new WoW expansion.
kinda gay, I wanna see KOTOR 3, but made by Obsidian Entertainment! Bioware can work on a failure MMO because everyone's gonna stick to WoW, but Obsidian, which imo made a way better KOTOR than Bioware (Kotor 1 < Kotor 2), could just go to work on a sequel for the KOTOR series...
The original was amazing as a game and as a Star Wars venture.
Number two tried to profit off the BROODING and THE DARK SIDE that Episode III gave way to, being too solemn and decidedly "gothic" in a way any Star Wars interpretation -shouldn't- be.
I wouldn't say it sucked, I would say it wasn't as good. It's story was just rushed, unlike the original KOTOR. The game play was identical, KOTOR just had a better, less predictable story and plot twist.
Well multiple elements just made KotoR 2 better in my opinion, for example being able to convert your allies to jedi, I simply preferred the depth and sure, they left out a whole planet and it had bugs to some extent but I thought it was generally better, and the great twist was more of a slap in the face than in the first one. And the end, which I hated for KotoR 1, that you, right before the end, get to choose what side you're on, while the 2nd had you choose earlier on

This -used- to be on the console...but it seems that nobody wants their properties on them anymore like Champions.
Well, we can live in hope. Perhaps if there is a KOTOR 3, It'll be console-exclusive.

The KOTOR games were practically built as PC games. The Xbox versions were the half arsed ones which lack the modifications made by the community.

KOTOR was KOTOR. I felt very much satisfied with what I have even though it was supposedly "half-arsed".
That being said, modifications that -everyone- had access to sounded like fucking fail: "LOLOLOL N00D MOD FOR ALL FEMALE CHARACTERZ".
I'll take my Xbox version over that crap any day.

Star Wars in any variation was good. The people who were around to absorb the orginal universe and that universe alone havebecome close-minded and exceedingly sensitive to everything EU or otherwise.
Oh, and it's not ruining a universe if that territory hasn't been covered yet.

ok maybe not a mistake but they should atleast make a 360 version with a story mmo dont have very much story do in them do they its all about gameplay and leveling up star wars for me was all about the story i just cant see myself enjoying an mmo star wars with very little story i have a pc but i doubt im gonna have the spec for this game spec is getting ridiculous high not everyone has a super pc i want this game to do well but how will it on only one platform?

but i love how ppl would rather compare classes to wow than think of it as something new or just another role in an mmo.its not "thats the tank class,thats a dps, and thats the healer class" its "o thats just like the warrior, and thats a hunter, and thats a priest." its like wow isthe standard for most ppl and the basic mmo formula is just gone

I have a strong feeling that the classes in TOR are going to have much more then what you label them as, like Sith Warrior having tanking abilities but ranged Dark Side Powers and Jedi having crowd control but also access to DPS (force speed much).
And you can't really blame anyone for comparing them to WoW, seeing as it was most everyone's first MMO.
Not everyone started with Everquest or Ultima Online.

Yeah, even though i try to look at this game with a whole new eye, i can't help but look back to WoW as a standard for mmo's like you said.. Wow is the equivalent to what a football pitch is as a medium for size

Most fees are monthly, and most games don't get played for a month unless it's really good. On average payin for the month is pretty much the same as if the game was F2P.

This makes me sad. KOTR was probably one of the best rpgs ever produced for the Xbox. Hands down, Star Wars fans absolutely loved it.
Now they want to make a mmorpg into one of the most saturated markets, which is more or less dominated by WoW. They should of just stuck with KOTR 3 and they would of made so much more money.
All they do is place videos on how its going to be, and like said, its never really going to be released. Good luck competing with the new WoW expansion.

Let's take a view at the differences, shall we?
There's a big wide open untamed universe to explore.
There's an actual -storyline- and characters people give a damn about (unlike the WoW player-base who don't know jack shit about lore).
And there's actually -good- gameplay, from the looks of it.

kinda gay, I wanna see KOTOR 3, but made by Obsidian Entertainment! Bioware can work on a failure MMO because everyone's gonna stick to WoW, but Obsidian, which imo made a way better KOTOR than Bioware (Kotor 1 < Kotor 2), could just go to work on a sequel for the KOTOR series...

The original was amazing as a game and as a Star Wars venture.
Number two tried to profit off the BROODING and THE DARK SIDE that Episode III gave way to, being too solemn and decidedly "gothic" in a way any Star Wars interpretation -shouldn't- be.

I wouldn't say it sucked, I would say it wasn't as good. It's story was just rushed, unlike the original KOTOR. The game play was identical, KOTOR just had a better, less predictable story and plot twist.

Well multiple elements just made KotoR 2 better in my opinion, for example being able to convert your allies to jedi, I simply preferred the depth and sure, they left out a whole planet and it had bugs to some extent but I thought it was generally better, and the great twist was more of a slap in the face than in the first one. And the end, which I hated for KotoR 1, that you, right before the end, get to choose what side you're on, while the 2nd had you choose earlier on
