I saw BÖC six times, and enjoyed every note of it, but I never got to see them until 1992! Therefore, I never got to experience them with Joe & Al. I'll never forget however, in their show at the Masonic Temple in 1994, during Godzilla instead of the huge monster in the old 70s and early 80s shows, this dude comes walking out in a blue "monster" costume, and he resembled the Cookie Monster!
I didn't think much of this song until I heard it live last Summer. It was the most moving number they did at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. It marked the main reason I got my butt over there.
BEAUTIFUL! THIS is the BÖC I love and cherish! The brightness and sharpness of the guitars, the gorgeous flow of the rhythm section and keyboards, and of course, the timeless vocals of Buck Dharma. I see Richie C adding a whole new dimension to things too - he's got all the right mode moves there. An excellent performance all around.
Hey, Buck grew his hair back and has got a beard going! About time man! Can't have you one of the world's greatest guitarists and looking like someone's dad! :-P Great freakin' song, and Rudy does a great job on bass!
Lol, Buck looked just like my wife's older brother with that short hairdew...it just wasn't right. I'm glad he looks more like the rock legend that he is. I've seen these guys countless times in all different venues...I like the smaller places they play now, you can be right up front w/o any hassle.
And Allen also, but Richie and Jules fill the bill.
But of course, seeing the original could be just incredible. Lucky ones who did it. I saw them first in '99. Too late. And even better yet, seeing them with all different members tru time !!!

This is a good clip but doesn't do Rudy's bass justice. Good stuff nonetheless.

If there's one constant thing in the universe, it's gotta be Buck's never-changing voice! (which I highly appreciate :P)
