Always, if you're going to cut small strips then cut the strips off of the outside of the board with the inside against the fence and always have your push sticks handy and NEVER EVER lean across the blade as this guy did!! The blade on a table saw is no joke. It spins up ant aprox. 300 MPH and it don't care if you walk away with all of your digits or not! Unfortunately this gentleman is a tablesaw statistic waiting to happen.. If he continues this method it's not "if",,, it's "when"!!!!

If you're going to use a table saw then read the directions that came with it and "follow them!" This guy (and I mean no disrespect) should not be doing a "show" even on YouTube without some training. cont.
If you use this guy's methods on the tablesaw, you will lose your fingers. Obviously this guy has never seen a piece of safety info on using a tablesaw. It and the the chainsaw are the 2 most dangerous machines in the home. Read the manual. Use the guards.
