  • bullshit video

  • I'm a priestess of Oshun as well, been made for coming on 19 years this fall. The orisha are portrayed according to people's reality. They are personality prototypes manifest in nature. I see no disrespect here. It's simply one way of recognizing the energy associated with the divinity. Will be interested in seeing the next part. The music is great, too! Beeni!

  • still waiting......

  • when is the second part coming

  • Dua for the sharing in a format our youth and others may embrace to learn more about ancestral traditions in contemporary times. Alafia!

Lillias White's voice and spiritual invocations are just IVINE!!!!!!!!!!! Go mi sistah Mama Lillias!

  • I thank you for at least bringing attention to the Orisa;however,it would have had a BETTER MEANING AND PURPOSE,"IF",you had listed a traditional setting, and consulted withan "IFA" Babalawo..Afara ni l'ekun!

  • Why don't you do it, then?

  • Greetings,IF,you comment was directed at me with..."WHY DON'T YOU DO IT,THEN? ". I will GLADLY DO IT,"IF" rthe author of this video NBPC accepts...AFARA NI L'EKUN O...............!!!!!!!

  • Hum.. thank you for this. but I would like to voice a little concern over the actual animation which in my view has been quite poorly execute.I am not sure random poser models with little or no bones are a good idea for a animation.moreover the use of an urban setting to tell the story wasn't all that. at least 5 people worked in this short, come on now we can do better then that. there are good 3d freewares( I am using blender) with fine renderer and you can build a solid animation with those

  • Hello Cannoir,

This is Paul Collins (the animator).

I understand and appreciate your criticism, but there were factors involved that you are not aware of.

First, of the 5 people that worked on this, only one of them (myself) was working on the actual animation.

Start to finish, in an extremely short amount of time.

It may look like "random poser models", but in fact, there was quite a bit of customization that had to be done on the human models alone...

  • The backgrounds were all created, lit, textured, and rendered in other software packages.

And the entire thing was rendered using one single computer.

Again, all by me. All in far too short of a deadline.

This all had to be cranked out quickly regardless of the quality of the final product.

If you would like to contact me, I'm always happy to correspond with a fellow animator.

I have done quite a bit of professional work for the music and broadcast industries.

  • wow. ogun is SEXY. Lol

  • I love this. Please let me know when there is more. I want to see the whole story!

  • when's the next part? good work...omio ode

  • When does part 2 come out? Good Video! :)

  • Any news on the continuation? I really want to see it!

  • Gorgeous!

  • this is WONDERFUL! also, a side note. Why is hard to believe that we can be good w/o the FEAR and hateful icons of Satan and HELL to keep us in line?

Please we do not coem to your church and try to remind you we had GOD before we had a bible.. So, don't come to where we are and make us bow to soemthig that is not of us..

  • This just looks great! Even better, it appears as not just some mindless animated thing to fill time instead of minds because it ignites the imagination by incorporating the themes of myth, heroes, gods and goddesses and history, all in a very appealing 3-D format. More. Encore. Kudos!

  • does anybody know if the rest came out. if it did please tell where to find it.

  • We have to remember the christian religion was spread by blood shed, colinization and force. Slaves were kept in place by fear. If you dont follow then you die. Well that spread on thru modern day religions. Were rite and if you dont belive in what we belive your going to burn forever in hell. Fear keeps them in line like a good slave. I respect all that brings peace but you cant argue with someone who has been programed since birth to blindly serve and be a good slave.

  • Ase!!! I agree!

  • The comments below are why Christians are held in such low regard. They have no respect for other religions. There many paths to the Olodumare (GOD) if we learn to understand that we will understand God.

  • This was awsome!

  • It's a pretty wonderful work.. Congratulations.. from Caracas - Venezuela.. I'm pretty sure that many people here will be in love with this projetc.. even more if you create a spanish version.. Kisses..

  • This is awesome! Fits so good into the modern world!

Can't wait to see the series!!!!

    Blessings

  • all christian holidays are Pagan & were adopted by Constantine only to convert the masses... right down to the canniballistic rituals of eating the body & drinking the blood of a lynched black man (who was murdered by the romans & not the Jews). can the choir say "Amen"? Ahora vaya ora en Jesucristo en eso.

  • if Jesus had any power Y would slavemasters give him to slaves? Anyone that calls Jesus a god obviously doesnt know the history of Christianity or the conference of Niece, where popes decided to label Jesus as a god.

  • God says in the Bible that adoration or cult to spirits , demons, or 'gods' is an abomination quit this awful practices that offend Jesus.

  • shut the fuck up you small minded dumbass the is a god AND jesus believing religion so no jesus is not getting offended by santeria and stop judging us brujeros, brujeras, santeros, santeras, and babalows cuz u dont see us saying to come into our religion so dont try and turn people into a religion you want them to be into

  • Please try to conform others with your ignorance somewhere else, have some respect, because it all comes down to serving all the orishas and Olodumare (creator).

  • Sorry Z28Alumni, I ment to give a thumbs up. Hand slipped. I agree.

  • everyone isn't a Christian... got it?

  • Read a book fool. Your verbal diarrhea broadcasts your ignorance. You're in fear from the brainwashing and YOU scare ME!

  • Oh my god! what is this world coming to? modern day pataki's....pleeeeeeeez

  • I like it actually... I feel that we have to get with what the kids understand and relate too. But I do agree with you that they should have stuck with the original considering Oggun was brought down from the MONTE not the CONDO... lol

    JavierOggun

  • Get a life.

  • omg i loved it!!!! i never seen anything like it b4, its so kool and its HISTORY too. Please i have 2 know where did you find this and do u have any more!!!!1

  • This is SO great! Where, oh where is the rest of it?????

  • I am doing a project on Oshun and I was wondering if this would be continued anytime soon?

  • Hi!

This is Paul (the animator). Carol has been working very hard on getting funding to finish this, but we haven't had any success so far.

I'll let you know if anything comes through.

  • Hopefully you can also do the story of Heru of ancient Kemet as the true black african people that they are.

  • Oh.... I am LOVING THIS!!! Ase, Titi Carol. Work it out! Haha!

  • Wonderful...i've been wanting to animate Orisa stories...but you have done it. Great for our children.
