@bartonbuster I had a similar experience. At age 14, I played the 3/18 Barton in the Warren Center for the Performing Arts, Indianapolis. It,however, was not on a lift. And it was in a room whose acoustics act beautifully on the sound. And now, almost 4 months later, I'm getting ready to play the Fox Theatre's 4/36 Wurlitzer. OMg excitement.
So sad to see a dying art go away as no one is playing the organ any more? Digital pianos and keyboards has taken the place of the home organ. Many home organ manufactures has went out of business as all there is left is the Lowrey organ company. Now the only organ that sells is the Hammond organ.
The golden voiced barton lives up to its name !! As a 13 year old, I played a 3/10 Barton in the Paramount Theatre..the last Barton built...(1931) I remember never letting the elevator go all the way to the top for fear it would topple the console..Great Job !!!
Well Cletus , you have done it again.. Amazing me..I can,t help noticiong that WORLWIDE the T O gets more into the "picture "again and not only by play. Even in the Netherlands where I come from a New place will be opened soon by the Dutch Organ Foundation playing silent movies accompanied by a Compton organ that is.. Romance never dies... We are going to have a WURLITZER again in Manila a " newly " to be restored Grand Theatre a private project of Mayor Lim of Manila !

Nice job! Thoughtfully played, with a great little demonstration of bridging thrown in. That organ sure is a hot box, no? Keep 'em coming!
