Good video, thanks. But you could leave out the explanation about how the breathable/waterproof membrane works: It appears you really don't understand the process anyway. Just say it what it does, not how it does it.
I highly recemend ( Jerven Fjellduk Thermo) NOTHING is compared to that in a survirval situation....And i know what im talking about..But still its good stuff you have there. But not in the long run.
johnmonk66 - if you listened you would see she said its gortex , it breathes .
i spent 4 day sleeping in 34 degree weather ,it didnt stop raining for the whole time because of a bivy sack i got off ebay , i was dry every night and slept well even though there was water everywhere .
we had to build a platform to get the fire off the ground , and yes WE started and kept the fire going in a pouring rain .

I'm not trying to come off as offensive.. This is rediculus. Why pay someone to give you something that they say works great? As they teach you in survival school, you don't need that shit. I suggest not wasting the 40-50 dollars, be a man and don't use this stupid shit.
thanks for the tip. I like your videos. It's refreshing to see women having interest in survival. Most of the videos out there about survival are by men. Please keep it up!
rei has one called a minimalist, it has a noseeum mesh face screen and zips 100% around with 3 xippers allowing any and all wats in or out. its only 15 oz and under $90 100% water proof also. stuff size about like a tall boy beer can.
All the survivors will be 'stealth camping' when the degenerate western democracies are invaded and subjugated by a coalition of Jihadist states, Russia, China and the tinpot leftie countries(i.e. Venezuela). Israel will be the first to go of course(I mean the Jews of Israel will be exterminated by the Arab vermin).
awesome vid, really convinced me i should try bivying... not sure tho about using a bivi exclusively for survival as some people do, it seems to me that it's a lot of weight for an unlikely eventuality, surely a bothy bag is better?
The U.S. Army issue is awesome and camo. But seriously if you place your mouth near the opening for winter camping you will cut down on the inside condensation if you even got any. I want a new one so bad. They didn't let me keep mine when I got out.
My question is how much condensation would you get in there? Especially concerned if I use it winter camping, too much inside condensation would lower my R value of my sleeping bag inside, not to mention a crappy wet environment.
The British Army Bivvy Bags is not perfect but I have used them since they became issue in the early 90s and I cant say I have ever had a problem with them. All materials have its limitations. Its important to understand these limitations. When you exceed them you have to expect it to fail. Some materials have a wider use before reaching their limitations or better suit to a situation than another. Most breathable materials need a large temperature and moister gradient from the inside to out.
Selica when it is raining instead of drawing the draw string which will only channel the rain into the bivvy bag turn the bivvy bag over so that the hood is on the top; drape it over your head so the hood lays flat on the ground. The water will now run away from you and onto the floor.
at first glance i thought u were just another girl with basic info and want a following, but i'm HOOKED now! i've learned more in 2 of ur vids than watching a hundred others.thank you! hopefully my wife will like you and she'll get excited about the outdoors. great info i subscribed!
brit bivi bag r shit, i am an infantry soldier and also sere trained, i have used them many times, infact i am on the look out for a us bivi bag, much better in my opinion.
@essexste32 Most gortex is over rated and ppl think its the end all be all of being water tight. Usually through inexperience of actually having to depend on it as opposed to sleeping in a nice comfy civvy tent...I agree they are shiit...I traded my Brit Bivvy for a Dutch one and i picked up a US one for 14$ yesterday..
It looks like there's room in there for two..;)

Use a 95 doss bag with your bivi and basha, best nights kip your ever have. Great uploads, really enjoying them.

Not true, having cloth on the inside of s waterproof bag does not stop condensation.

Thanx for the video. What brand Bivy is that? Also, do you use a sleeping bag in your Bivy or prefer it without it to save weight?
