I have a favorite christian rapper. Doesn't make me any less saved nor does it mean that I don't represent God to the fullest. That's extreme saying we're not supposed to have a favorite rapper in Christ. Lyrically there are some better than others. Some people like fast rappers others like slower rappers. Depending on how that person raps &&what you prefer, that could be you favorite. Just sayin...
hey everyone check out my buddys music page on facebook BLAKE WHITELEY. Hes a new chrisitian rapper with alot of talent! go like his page and help him out ! Just got on facebook and search Blake Whiteley!
Yet again KB is getting better. I've recorded with him, and have know him for quite awhile. I'm always moved by the passion from which he ministers. Lemme just say that having ur fav CHH artist is cool. At the beginning of the day it IS an artform that some are truly blessed to be gifted at doing and that artform appeals to some. At the end of the day it's ministry so to love the messenger more than the messager's creator...tsk, tsk U have bigger issuse as a BELIEVER! Grace N Peace ya'll!
KB is a beast.... one of my favorites. i have a few that i listen to nonstop and he will be one as soon as he comes out with his first project. i got the mixtape but i want his studio album to drop NOW!!! lol
I'm not looking for fame, or money. Just people who I want to share the gift of the Gospel. My name is L.K.R.J.R. and I'm a Christian rap artist. I am asking if you could just come look at my page and listen to some of the songs I have. I will have an album out next year (February the earilest). And I want to share it with everyone. If you guys could please support me on Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social networks. Lets spread God's Message together!
@lonehunter65: It's probably because HGA (His Glory Alone) is a fellowship that KB has been apart of b4 he signed 2 Reach and this fellowship of believers have been doing the HGA concert annually in Tampa Bay for a few years. I've attended 2 in the past years and will attend this one. I think that it's awesome that he and his wife are staying faithful to the ministry that God has blessed them to be apart of here in Tampa even though he is signed with Reach.
James 2:1-9 talks about not showing favoritism...in showing favoritism and boasting about one rapper over another, are we doing that in faith? we should boast in Christ and give Him the glory that He gave these cats gifts...and forget about who's better
okay guys no hate. aren't we not suppose to have a favorite christian rapper whom raps for christ? to me as long as the are rapping for God they are cool with me. we shouldn't focuse on who is the better rapper. because we all are nothing without God. We should listen to their message in their songs and put to practice what they are teaching. Therefore we can get better insight of the word and go out and minister to other people.
That is true. That is why growing up, Christian Hip Hop, and Christian music in general was straight up garbage. Why? Because people would be like: "As long as it's for God" and that would lead to weak beats, flow, and lyrics. As Christians we should do things greatly and excel when they are for God.
@yungblackcat nahh, i think its fine to have a favorite Christian rapper, as far as skill and talent goes. You don't want to see me try to rap, im horrible, even if I had Christian lyrics, it would still be horrible
@beastyman116 Okay but where did their skill and talent come from?. Only from God because without him we are nothing. So you can be the worst rapper but God can use you for his ministry. Moses couldn't talk well but God used him to bring his people out of egypt.. And you may can't rap now but if you wanna do it for Jesus glory and not ashame and bold I guarantee that he will change the way you rap.
@yungblackcat No, that's actually prosperity teaching there. What if it's not God's will that I rap? What if it's his will that I serve in soup kitchens instead? See, God doesn't owe us anything. True, God can do anything, but it's just the truth that some rappers have more talent than others. Some secular artists have more skill than Christian rappers, so does that mean that those Christian rappers arent living unashamed? I guess I just don't see your point.
@yungblackcat I understand what your saying. We should not have "favorites" but I guess some people would just rather listen to certain rappers because they like they're flow better. Doesn't mean they dont want others to succeed nor does it mean that they do not want them to reach the lost. I say we should support all rappers that glorify God to the highest, but I wouldn't say its wrong to have favorites. Much love and God bless!
@mrshineright yeah true. I was thinking the same way but look at it like this. The christian rappers main job is to bring people to christ and to train them so that they can bring people to christ. Giving a christian rapper the title favorite is like putting them over God. To lead people to christ through music if you don't have christ it can't happen. God give us gifts and talents to use for his kingdom we didn't do nothing to get them. everythingcomes come from God. God bless you too bro
@yungblackcat lol to have a favorite rappers does not mean your putting them over God. It has nothing more than to do with preference. We can take this way overboard, and over analyze it. Let's not be so legalistic. It's ok to have a favorite christian rapper. It's not ok to not support the Gospel in every way possible. Peace.
@yungblackcat Just because theyre christian rappers doesnt mean they have the right to make bad music. Obviously im gonna listen to the best available, and 116 does that.
