KOF 13 looks awesome though. Watch the Technical Demonstration vids. Everything looks like its back to normal again. And they took out the stupid clash system from 12, and the zoom ins. They ripped off the EX bars from SF4, but it looks like they actually put it to use better than Capcom did.

I don't know what you were looking at, but XII has completely new sprites and backgrounds that have far more detail and animation than the previous games. they cant put geese in the game because he's been dead since garo mark of the wolves. other than samurai showdown iand garo i never really liked snk's fighting games but i always liked that they stay true to their stories. nest, the orochi clan, geese, are all finished and so far they aint commin back.

The statement of that character dont do that no more and that character do that now and bla bla bla is because the different between kof and SF, kof characters change, they get older and older. Sf characters dont change at all. They still in the same year and dont get older.

the switching of characters is stupid in this game, you are wrong, the buttons to switch were better because they prevented counter picking. But this fucked up this one.

I played this at gamestop before buying(friend is man up there) the graphics were so bad i could not even begin to try and play the game. it was connected via HDMI and on the PS3 with a sony tv(smaller so it should look better cause its the ps3 display tv....) its horrible... Yeah, hand drawing every frame was not the way to go. They sacrificed moves, characters, backgrounds, and story because it took so long. Samauri Spirits is going to be in polygons, so it should be better. Ash Crimson is a mystery to me.....I still dont know what sex they are.

SNK's argument of he taking away of moves is that the sprites have so many frames of animation as it is, and putting on more moves would cause some frame rate issues and make the online even worse. I don't know how true that is since I am no tech expert. There is also a psn/marketplace option. Maybe they plan to include more characters, BGs and moves in the future.

KOF 12 is pretty enjoyable. The lack of story, half the usual roster and apparently "crappy" online have basically been the jist of it's bad reviews.
But honestly, when it comes down to gameplay, the game is more fun than SF4 hands down. SF4, you learn one, maybe two characters and all the other characters are too goofy or boring. KOF has a better balance of appealing fighters ('cept Ash),better juggles, speed and way less bullshit happens. 3v3 makes things a whole lot less monotonous, too.
So EVERYBODY says that this game is fuckin disgusting but there's always some motherfuckin hardcore fanboy like u that says it's better than SF4. Seriously man , some of u idiots just don't wanna be realistic. What a fucking woman. I AM being realistic. Story=single player= irrelevant. The roster has been redone and is DOUBLE that of Blazblue, and yet blazblue (GG3) gets immunity? Both SF4 and BB got dry really quick because of their rosters. KOF got two console exclusive characters and at least 2 more heavily rumored. The online isn't that bad, but has spurts of lag just like all games do. The setup trumps SF4 online easy w/ clans and lobbies. And btw, you dunce, this is my first KOF. I still dig SF4
Yeah, though we only got 3 new characters (and Seth, I guess), which is kinda lazy. We all know capcom could've done better, and there's no excuse for not having any returning SF3 characters.
I still dig SF4 though, it's a great addition to the series, a fresh start, and I'm hoping for big updates available for DLC instead of a whole new game and a whole new $60, same goes for KOF. SF and KOF should totally be taking advantage of these consoles by adding characters and stages when they can.

Honestly I think that once you play more of the past KOF I think you understand why they do take/give moves from characters. The usually do that in the series like in KOF '94 my man Ryo had an aeiral fireball like akuma, then from KOF 95 onward they took it away. SNK tend to rebalance their games each year.
I never got the KoF appeal, I would like to rent BlazeBlue as it has reviewed well, I think my money is better spent on MarvelCapcom2 15 bucks vs. 60 I missed MvC2 first go around other than the occasional play at a local pool hall. I liked the review as usual Lance you were a good watch, I like your style. I'm looking forward to Tekken 6
The only thing I like about KOF 12 is what they did to iori yagami. He feels fresh. Other than that, I agree about the butchering of moves and the lack of content.

When i played the game I had the problum of my opponent not fighting back and not moving, then when i attack it did no damage, then when i grab then my opponent would bounce around the screen. ;(
i was going to buy it but i heard there's not a lot of modes and the biggest let down is that unlike street fighter iv there's no in game move list nor is it in the instruction manual, which is a disappointment to people that never played kof before like me that want to learn. they have all the move listed in street fighter iv and also the trail mode for some beginner combos. i rather they copy that off of street fighter

Yeah, hand drawing every frame was not the way to go. They sacrificed moves, characters, backgrounds, and story because it took so long. Samauri Spirits is going to be in polygons, so it should be better. Ash Crimson is a mystery to me.....I still dont know what sex they are.

Yeah,they maybe planning to re scale the game cuz 2/3s of that roster lost moves as if they are being re worked or something along the lines of that.Their maybe an expansion coming..

actually robert and ryo use the sae fighting style lol. ryo and him are masters of the style n quess what its the same style DAN use LOL. name n everything lol. and ash kinda plays like guile when it comes to normal special attacks . oh u talkin bout mature she worked for rugal i think. oh they rasterized the 3d models to make it appear 2d. i believe this one waz a test game though the one after this one will be waay better.

no i think SNK just put a lack of thought in kof12! just because they created every from scratch still dosent mean that they could not have put in more moves and other stuff! forget having frame rate issues..we talking bout the power of the PS3 and 360!

SNK's argument of he taking away of moves is that the sprites have so many frames of animation as it is, and putting on more moves would cause some frame rate issues and make the online even worse. I don't know how true that is since I am no tech expert. There is also a psn/marketplace option. Maybe they plan to include more characters, BGs and moves in the future.

KOF 12 is pretty enjoyable. The lack of story, half the usual roster and apparently "crappy" online have basically been the jist of it's bad reviews.
But honestly, when it comes down to gameplay, the game is more fun than SF4 hands down. SF4, you learn one, maybe two characters and all the other characters are too goofy or boring. KOF has a better balance of appealing fighters ('cept Ash),better juggles, speed and way less bullshit happens. 3v3 makes things a whole lot less monotonous, too.

What a fucking woman. I AM being realistic. Story=single player= irrelevant. The roster has been redone and is DOUBLE that of Blazblue, and yet blazblue (GG3) gets immunity? Both SF4 and BB got dry really quick because of their rosters. KOF got two console exclusive characters and at least 2 more heavily rumored. The online isn't that bad, but has spurts of lag just like all games do. The setup trumps SF4 online easy w/ clans and lobbies. And btw, you dunce, this is my first KOF. I still dig SF4

Yeah, though we only got 3 new characters (and Seth, I guess), which is kinda lazy. We all know capcom could've done better, and there's no excuse for not having any returning SF3 characters.
I still dig SF4 though, it's a great addition to the series, a fresh start, and I'm hoping for big updates available for DLC instead of a whole new game and a whole new $60, same goes for KOF. SF and KOF should totally be taking advantage of these consoles by adding characters and stages when they can.

Nobody from SF3 is in SF4, because SF3 takes place years after SF4. They messed up the timeline for pretty much no reason to me.

Yea I agree. I heard blazblue is getting a few patches, but I don't know if sf4 is getting any update or fixed. They admitted sagat was way overpowered \: (capcom)
but true. Although idk, its kinda next gen quality, maybe the machine can't handle that many more characters Idk? lol

Gouken is mid tier, but I can see why he can be broken. (although he has really crucial weaknesses, there for the mid tier spot) Although he isn't used a lot online. Seth is meh, I don't see why he is. On Evo everyone was allowed

Honestly I think that once you play more of the past KOF I think you understand why they do take/give moves from characters. The usually do that in the series like in KOF '94 my man Ryo had an aeiral fireball like akuma, then from KOF 95 onward they took it away. SNK tend to rebalance their games each year.

I never got the KoF appeal, I would like to rent BlazeBlue as it has reviewed well, I think my money is better spent on MarvelCapcom2 15 bucks vs. 60 I missed MvC2 first go around other than the occasional play at a local pool hall. I liked the review as usual Lance you were a good watch, I like your style. I'm looking forward to Tekken 6

When i played the game I had the problum of my opponent not fighting back and not moving, then when i attack it did no damage, then when i grab then my opponent would bounce around the screen. ;(

I imported the game for ~100 bucks and it was a big let down. I hope the online mode lives up to my expectation and the graphics are nice.
But the rest of the game was pretty much non-existent.
No trial, no story, no nothing...for 100 $ (!)
And if you ask me, there were only 4 stages -.-

i was going to buy it but i heard there's not a lot of modes and the biggest let down is that unlike street fighter iv there's no in game move list nor is it in the instruction manual, which is a disappointment to people that never played kof before like me that want to learn. they have all the move listed in street fighter iv and also the trail mode for some beginner combos. i rather they copy that off of street fighter

All in all KOFXII serious letdown. All hype no delivery... such a shame to see a ball dropped like that. even IF you don't like KOF at all, it's still sad to see a potential newblood draw to the fighting genre fail as it did.
