@L0vehunter its sad but true if you put 400k of this current gen together it would turn into one big mosh pit --gen y is, to put it bluntly ,socially retarded
Wow I was a that concert in 74 wall to wall people it took an hour to go to the bathroom ELP blew me away with Drum set that sprouted out wings and started to fly Great times back then
start with purple and end up playing Burn, Lazy, Highwaystar, everyday, i'm very glad that my dad introduce me to Deep Purple and not from some game or movie. he first introduce me with Child in Time
@CJRBFilmWorks Yeah I remember when all the jugs and trash was being trown around. And I saw a lot of bands at Swing in San Bernadino too. I was blown away by ELP ( little A might have helped that) The drummer was incredible and when they flipped that piano up in the air.... wow. That was a great day.
It was a great show. It was 10 dollars never again to really be repeated. I was so high that day. I thought EWF was a bit oddity on bill, but they were great. I remember all the jugs being tossed and ducking for cover. ELP who I'd seen the week before at the Swing Auditorium. It was a great day of youth.
@dpfee Yep... that sounds right to me. Don't know why I thought there was ten bands. I was actually pretty buzzed that day ;-) anyway.. I'm pretty sure it was only ten bucks though. I remember I couldn't find the van for hours also. It was a great day though. Some of the greatest bands around at that time.

fender strat, and marshall amps..is there any sound more beautiful in hard rock music ??
seriously, is there ???...lol !! fucking epic ! and i'm a drummer..and as for ludwig drums, and paiste cymbals,..that's another story..that's just orgasmic !!
Assisti a esse festival pela TV num programa chamado "Rock Concert". Eu punha uma toalha na cabeça e uma vassoura na mão e ia tocando minha guitarra imaginária. hehehehehe
@victorville74 // WRONG their were 8 BANDS & here they are in order of performance (1) RARE EARTH (2) EARTH WIND & FIRE (3) THE EAGLES (4) SEALS & CROFTS (5) BLACK OAK ARKANSAS (6) BLACK SABATH (7) DEEP PURPLE (8) EMERSON LAKE & PALMER & the MC was Jim Ladd from KMET I too was my Friend
Any questions of why Blackmore wanted out........... this is proof enough. If he could have played off the stage he would have and who could blame him. Hughes and Coverdale turned out to be great in the end but back then......... annoying. Too much ego not yet proven. We all won in the end.
@zeprls i liked how Glenn Hughes made a little soul presentation at the end haha, but i'm with you on this, so much fucking ego, if anyone had to show off, It should've been blackmore or lord but not those two......
Quite obviously, by todays' standards, there is nothing to match this kind of rock music, masterpieces can only be made once, and this was one such occasion. Those were times when you really had to have raw talent, genuine inspiration, and an inborn driving force to be among the best. You were not created by studio manipulators as todays' cosmetic musicians, being commercial products aimed to generate profit before talent... which is what MTV and similar 'rubbish' stations are all about.
@Toottycat absolutely right..1000% !!! today's hard rock standard has the validity of a sewage sludge filled pipe ! the problem is that today's rock or any other genre of music for that matter, is corporate, which makes it commercial, which leaves no room for originality , which leaves no room for true artistic integrity and musicianship !..it's all gone to hell..it all went downhill in the 90's with the inception of the new kids on the block, and the concept of the money making machine !
@blica1Yes I'm totally with you too. Like all past, great civilizations, once they reached the peak of expansion and success, they were superseded by a downfall. Similarly with rock music: look at all the great bands that etched their name in gold in the 60s, 70s, 80s - from a great musical legacy to the degenerative years of our time. The golden age of rock has been superseded by an age of soulless, musical mediocrity, where we get cosmetic puppets performing for musically uncultured morons.
EEEEEHEEEEYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! What a rockin' band...Coverdale did a good job in his tenure with Purple. It wasn't the same, but it fit. I saw MKVIII @ Montreal a few days back and it totally blew me away like nothing else. They'l live forever, and I know..I know we'll never forget.
I can tell you right now you're going to notice a dramatic difference in the way the SOUND is presented, particularly on Jon's organs. I have life-altering California Jam tapes here. Should I start off with SOTW?
I plan to flood Youtube with the HIGHEST audio and video to date of the California Jam...the much storied California Jam Wereo. I'm looking for worldwide headlines with it. I already scored the biggest write-up to date with it. Yes it is this Strong & Powerful to eliminate classic rock 'n roll altogether. Lifshine hast spoken. Lifshine shall prove.
Great job! I can see the colors of "the Rainbow" vividly. And thank god it doesn't have that 'hideous' logo on it. This is the highest quality videos to date of the massive California Jam. Thanks again! Btw if you want to post your thoughts FREELY about the Jam you can post them at alt.music.california-jam!
@Qwazier3 have no fret. I fully intend to return to Youtube with "the Wereo" and blast rock 'n roll out of the water with it. Yes it is that strong, powerful and storied.
