@MrWellminded Since weight (mass affected by gravity) is just a function of density and volume, I used a cubic ratio. Density should be the same, so just scale weight by volume ratio. 36^3/6^3 = 216. 200*216=43200. 43200/2000=21.6.
Height is just one dimension. You can't just increase the weight linearly. Think of it as reshaping body cells to cube shape while keeping density. If you stretch one dimension of the cubic cells, the other two dimensions increase at the same rate to maintain proportions. The weight of each expanded cell will be 216x the original block cell, so the total weight will increase accordingly.
Of course this is just a simplification for geometric purposes. In reality, there would probably just be 216 times as many cells of equal size to the 200 pound man. If they each weigh the same, then the giant man should weigh 216 times more.

A rat can move just fine and so can you. If a giant weighing 21.6 tons it would have muscle mass to match and would be able to move around just fine. Actually the Bible, the Torah and the Koran show that in their mythology or stories angels do indeed have free will, they just chose not to exercise it and instead do the will of God. However there are plenty of stories of angels that chose to do otherwise.

I wonder if giants were just symbolic in the bible and many other texts regarding powerful individuals as sea monsters on old maps symbolized the dangers of the ocean? This is silly The human bone and muscular system can not support a critter being more than about 8ft tall. The reason is that the mass of a form goes up geometrically while the strength of the critter goes up arithmetically

Actually the problem with that is that they do not find whole skeletons. If they find 40 percent of a skeleton theyre overjoyed. I know where is situated an entire graveyard full with giants skeletons between 2,5 and 3 meters high. @Olennex Even if a being was 100x more "potent" (powerful) than an "average" human, that would be a pretty impressive being. Humans have their sights set a little too high for divine beings. Like everything else there are varying levels of "potency". Mormonism compares degrees of beings to star sizes. There are some stars out there that make our sun look like a spec in space, and the sun makes the earth look like a pebble. Maybe humans should redefine the word "God" denying them.

@MrWellminded Since weight (mass affected by gravity) is just a function of density and volume, I used a cubic ratio. Density should be the same, so just scale weight by volume ratio. 36^3/6^3 = 216. 200*216=43200. 43200/2000=21.6.

Height is just one dimension. You can't just increase the weight linearly. Think of it as reshaping body cells to cube shape while keeping density. If you stretch one dimension of the cubic cells, the other two dimensions increase at the same rate to maintain proportions. The weight of each expanded cell will be 216x the original block cell, so the total weight will increase accordingly.

You cannot calculate like you did, because even a human with the same size can weight a big different pounds than the other one. And just imagine some1 12 feet hight, he wont only weight 400 pounds for sure ... some human already weight that pounds at 6 feet (bit fat but)

@Gamebox27 The problem I have with people saying giants would have to live in low gravity is that it doesn't make sense. The proportions of weight also apply to muscles. A rat can move just fine and so can you. If a giant weighing 21.6 tons it would have muscle mass to match and would be able to move around just fine. Just like you do compared to a small rat, or small insect. Its something many don't seem to take into account.

I wonder if giants were just symbolic in the bible and many other texts regarding powerful individuals as sea monsters on old maps symbolized the dangers of the ocean? I believe God exists; however, I also think many things in both the bible and other texts of the past are symbolic for something else rather than literally.
If giants really have existed I could see that as plausible as many modern animals had giant relatives earlier in the Cenozoic era.

EXP- The human foot and hip structure is a poor design for an enormous biped that might weight tons. It has neither the shock absorbing capability or strength to support that kind of weight and shock. Simply by looking at the foot of an Allosaurus one can see what is required.

Notice that Genesis 6:4 only says that giants (in both human and animal form) were prevalent upon the Earth at the time of that particular phenomenon more than any other time in history. The humans were larger for the same reasons that the animals were- double oxygen pressure in the Pre-Flood atmosphere. Now, if the giants were smarter then man then they must also of had some city's, maybe empires? If they did why are there none left? Did god destroy those to? The Smithsonian Museum has a lot in their archives records of Giant skeleton in the United States of America alone, reaching from 7 to 12 feet tall skeletons. All over the world these giants skeleton were found but it never see the lights of day. They only showed controlled Archeological finds, like Lucy and other little skeletons that prove some scientist points on evolutions. In Vol 1 page 118 Thoth says there are 5 levels of human consciousness. Those in the 1st level are about 5 ft tall, 2nd level 7 ft; 3rd level 15 ft; 4th level 30 ft tall; and the 5th level 60 ft tall.

This is silly The human bone and muscular system can not support a critter being more than about 8ft tall. The reason is that the mass of a form goes up geometrically while the strength of the critter goes up arithmetically
a 12ft tall person would weight 8 times as much as a congruent 6 ft person and be 4 times as strong. An 18 foot tall person would weight 27 times as much and be 9 times as strong as a 6 ft person.

I'm sure with some increase in muscle mass and bone density healthy and mobile 8ft tall humans could exist at 250kg (550lbs). That would be congruent to a 6ft man that weights 220 pounds. But he would be slower and have less endurance.

Look at Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler and Phil Heath (bodybuilders) Relatively normal heighted people, but with abnormal strength and muscle mass. Ronnie Coleman weighs over 350 pds. Phil Heath the current Mr. Olympia went from a scrawny college basketball player at 175 lbs to 5'9" 275 lbs. (offseason). So Someone 12' tall and assuming they had none of the creature comforts like lazy boys would have a well developed musclar system.

There was ALSO a race or group of people found in Australia called "meganthropus" by anthropologists. These people were of very large size — estimated between 7 to 12 feet tall..try to do some research..and you do know by looking at skeletons

Actually the problem with that is that they do not find whole skeletons. If they find 40 percent of a skeleton theyre overjoyed. The Sadiva skeleton found in Africa 3 years ago dates back 1 million years and its the only skeleton dating back that far that is that complete. BTW Sadiva is anatomically completely different from Lucy which has been classified as an extinct species of ape. The history of the earth is so different from what we think itd blow us away.

Hey dummy. These finds were documented. They were in newspapers all over the world.
Their are some skulls that kept away from public eyes but you can find pictures if you look hard enough. In 1833 people werent as worried about this stuff as we are now. Most likely the skeletons were documented and ground up and used in fertilizer. Later some skeletons were found and purchased and either destroyed or hidden by evolutionist interests. Many discoveries like that are hidden.
