@peace1844 are you so sure about that? yes the c.o has longer fur to protect it from bites but the k.k's fur is very dense and serves the exact same purpose. the k.k is just a aggressuve because they are fight dogs. as well as herd dogs. at peak health a male c.o would weigh in between 110 and 135 pounds while a male k.k would weigh in between 100 and 165. also the owner of a k.k would crop the dogs ears for protection ina physical confrontation. making it less vulnerable overall.

It can fight a bear and chase it away but to kill a bear as a single dog is mostly urban legend. The Sar can do it also. The great things about these dogs is they are the perfect human companions, they are playful guardians with both family and flocks. The Kangal has been sent to Africa the Sar to North America because of the reputation.PS each has its strengths both good attack and strength but the Sar also has good defense due to it's fur. No camparison both are great.

True Kangals and Anatolian shepherds are very large and can reach over 250lbs they are the strongest, very fast, and have been proven to kill even bears. Have you ever seen a dog wrestling and protecting their food against Tigers and lions. I bet none other dog can, except for kangals. The cauacasian ovcharka is the strongest dog in th world he`s long hair can defend him from wolf bites.He is more massive than the kangal and the wolf the wolf is around 70 cm the caucasian 85-87 cm the wolf is around 50-60 kg the caucasian 75-85 kg.The kangal maybe taller but they are not massive are not long haired and are not so aggressive as a Caucasian Ovcharka.A pack of 5 Caucasians can destroy a pack of 10 wolves if they are defending a flock of sheeps.The Caucasian Ovcharka is good.

@peace1844 are you so sure about that? yes the c.o has longer fur to protect it from bites but the k.k's fur is very dense and serves the exact same purpose. the k.k is just a aggressuve because they are fight dogs. as well as herd dogs. at peak health a male c.o would weigh in between 110 and 135 pounds while a male k.k would weigh in between 100 and 165. also the owner of a k.k would crop the dogs ears for protection ina physical confrontation. making it less vulnerable overall.

I know I'm kinda late in posting a message about these beautiful dogs, the Kurdish dogs, I think the best thing to do, is raise them, don't fight them, be good to them and the animal will be so loyal to you, the only thing I do agree on, for the sake of blood line, you must find where this dog came from exactly, so you can give it it's proper name and breeding papers, they are quite strong, loyal, and probably will fight to the death. i am from turkey and i know that kangal can fight with a bear and win, i believe there is no dog on the world that can do that. also kangals are shephards for sheeps, wolf packs are afraid to fight with one kangal, now do you really need to compare these dogs, isnt that obvious that kangal is strongest. btw these pictures are not good, search kangal at google, original kangals size are almost simlar with humans sometimes bigger.

It can fight a bear and chase it away but to kill a bear as a single dog is mostly urban legend. The Sar can do it also. The great things about these dogs is they are the perfect human companions, they are playful guardians with both family and flocks. The Kangal has been sent to Africa the Sar to North America because of the reputation.PS each has its strengths both good attack and strength but the Sar also has good defense due to it's fur. No camparison both are great.

True Kangals and Anatolian shepherds are very large and can reach over 250lbs they are the strongest, very fast, and have been proven to kill even bears. I just wish people would stop ruining breeds like this :( I am from America but I am starting to doubt my country.

About wolves a wolf pack afraid of nothing can take a single Kangal in few seconds but 1v1 wolf ll not take this fight and run away most of the times they succeed but there are Kangal in shape to be able to catch a wolf and beat it , this is what makes Kangal a special dog a Pitbull can beat a wolf too but there is no way a pitbull will catch a wolf.

@TheFreedomSongs You must have small bears in Turkey. How would any dog withstand the claws of any bear? A Pit Bull will take out a Kangal. So will some other breeds. You must have some pretty small wolves there too. One dog frightening an entire pack? I can't imagine that a male Timber Wolf in his prime would lose a one on one fight to too many dogs. The mighty Kangal included.

Sarplanicac is a dog breed from my country and they have amazing strength and
are fearles but kangal frightens me with its jaw power and big athletic body

Have you ever seen a dog wrestling and protecting their food against Tigers and lions. I bet none other dog can, except for kangals. A grown Kangal can fight a bundle of wolf and he can fight back against a bear. And as that youtube movie shows, he can fight tigers back. Not much of a fight though, but you can see he has power.

@TheFreedomSongs Bullshit, there is no dog that can beat a healthy adult bear. I live in Montana its bear country we have black bears and brown bears all over. There are a couple of breeds that can keep a bear at bay and occupy him but no dog can kill a bear.

What you are trying to do would be equivilant to a Croatian calling a Dalmatian a pure Croatian dog, and wanting it renamed as such. The Sarplaninac is what it is called and what you would ask for, be it in Macedonia, Serbia the USA just obviously not in Albania where the Serbian conspiracy theorists and Albanian insecurites grow rampant.
