I agree plenty of people have come back the same and even better, i think the cards will barely decrease but if and when he comes back the cards will be worth more then they are now

Personally I think he is overrated saw him pitch 3-4 times here in Harrisburg, PA when he was with our minor league team (Harrisburg Senators) (AA) . There are plenty of pitchers who pitch in the high 90's and nobody makes a big deal about.

In starsburg's case tpmmy john surgery will only severley damage his career. Not like Hudson who came back fine there 2 different cases. Stras is top notch and its just gonna take away. He wont ever be as good. He's the next Kerry Wood. I can't believe this is happening

I'm a huge Nationals fan and was shocked and sad when I heard the news earlier today. I hope Strasburg will be ok. I think he will be fine, but may lose a few MPH. The Nationals were talking with Jordan Zimmerman who pitched his first game last night after coming out of tommy john surgery and he was saying that tommy john surgery has a 90 percent success rate.

I'm glad I didn't drop $600 on a Strasburg auto. his stuff will definately drop. another name comes to mind...Mark Prior. his value is going to plummet and I think injuries are going to plague him his whole career. and speaking of Kerry Wood. he's in the bullpen now. strasburg would make an excellent closer.

the thing is, there are also players who are a lot worse (Ex. Fransisco Liriano) kerry wood and tim hudson declined and never were as good

i think stras will not do well when he comes back, because he ALWAYS throws his hardest, and that will injur you quite a bit
