@pandaj33 you have to get in trouble. i was bullied (not too bad, because i stopped it soon). anyway, this annoying kid kept bothering me so i knocked his binder out of his hands and pushed him down. he never bothered me again (although i did get sent to the office where i explained the situation, and "got off" with a couple lunch detentions). but if you're going to do something like this, make sure his friends either arent there or wont defend you. (btw, this will only work in middle school)
I just watched the episodes of Degrassi with the shooting.
I remember the first time I saw this video it was probably a year old. I had never even heard of Degrassi but when I saw the clip in this I was intrigued. Now I'm a total Degrassi fan; the only stuff I haven't seen is Kids of Degrassi Street.
Today my friend on Youtube sent me this video, i cried. She has helped me threw my depression and still is. She is always there for me. She understands me when no one else has. i REALLY like this song, but Degrassi is a load of yeah. It's bad enough that the stuff that they show on the show is really happening, but they go and show it on national television. several people tried to help me, but they never could get up against the bullies and after a while they just joined them, because life was easier that way. but as i wasn't badly bullied i could help a boy that was worse off than me. i stood up for him and pretended to be his friend, although i never really liked him...he says it made his school-life much easier und nicer. it made and still makes me so happy to know that i was a small part of the good side of his life(:

By I assure all of you, trying suicide doesn't help anything at all. I'll admit I've tried it and the people who heard treat me even worse then before. It's better to be strong and hold your head high through the hard times. Everything is supposed to work out right in the end.
Ive tried to do that there really atm is no real cure for it. Of course its a mind thing and yeah ive tried suicide. I have moments where i amd sad for like weeks then happy for two days then for more weeks sad. Sometimes i feel theres no reason to life or to live. Now ive come to getting pleasure out of my mind just wanting to be gone. Yeah, I know how hard it can't be to keep your hopes up. As hard as I try I can't, but I give other people hope and act happy around them. You just can't let everyone else around you get you down. It is really serious too, a lot of people never really recover from their own depression without help. And every time you think it would be better to die just think of everything you would miss out on. You wouldn't see the sun, or see how your life turns out, or how your friends turn out.

I disagree with you. To show it on national television makes teens more aware of the how horrible it is and how they should take a stand against it. For some people who watch Degrassi, some of those people would of been clueless. Though I haven't watched it so I can't say.

Exactly. If you watched the show you'd know that all they do is talk about sex and having sex etc. Its not a very moral show at all, though it does have it's moments, its just a load of junk. I agree that people should know about this particular episode, but not most of them. No disrespect to anyone

several people tried to help me, but they never could get up against the bullies and after a while they just joined them, because life was easier that way. but as i wasn't badly bullied i could help a boy that was worse off than me. i stood up for him and pretended to be his friend, although i never really liked him...he says it made his school-life much easier und nicer. it made and still makes me so happy to know that i was a small part of the good side of his life(:

yeah i know wut ur going through. i've had a cupl friends who've dealt with cutting...but when you go through stuff like that it relle opens your eyes. i used to be bulimic. it's a never ending struggle and it sucks, but thats why we need to put everything we have on God. then it'll all be okay, at least in the end. stay strong, everything will be ok. just tell a trusted adult or teacher if your friend keeps doing this and you're concerned ok? it's whats best, i promise.

Ive tried to do that there really atm is no real cure for it. Of course its a mind thing and yeah ive tried suicide. I have moments where i amd sad for like weeks then happy for two days then for more weeks sad. Sometimes i feel theres no reason to life or to live. Now ive come to getting pleasure out of my mind just wanting to be gone. I do try to lift my head high but just cant do it :( people havto understand how serious it is by the sounds of what u said u suffered horribly

Yeah, I know how hard it can't be to keep your hopes up. As hard as I try I can't, but I give other people hope and act happy around them. You just can't let everyone else around you get you down. It is really serious too, a lot of people never really recover from their own depression without help. And every time you think it would be better to die just think of everything you would miss out on. You wouldn't see the sun, or see how your life turns out, or how your friends turn out.
