Street luging? Bah! I invented that shit when I was a kid by laying on my back on a skateboard. And itd probably more dangerous because skateboards are so wobbly. The board would start wobbling and you are going the same speed as the car that 4 feet next to you in the lane(we used the shoulder of a mile long hill street) and you'd start wobbling. If you weret careful, you could role off the wrong side of the board and right under the cars tires. Luckily that never happened.

@MackyMatt yea you would have to add height to the board to give the suspension more room to break the landing. But ironically, the more height you add, the slower you go due to aerodynamics which means the less air you get which also means the less you need the suspension. so its kinda pointless. These things weren't really made for air but damn these guys have big balls I guess.

Haha, Me and my friends used to get regular boards, and do this down hills.

We were all short, so it was like this... Some flew in ditches, some hit each other.

12 kids sitting on skateboards and trying to beat each other down a steep hill... nothing wrong with that.

Though these boards go like... 40 mph faster on this type of thing.

i use to skate, i was never too good at it then i bought a 70s skateboard deck and put long board wheels and trucks on it and it was fast im planning on building a street luge board of my own out of wood using the same long board wheels and trucks any advice
