Jesus was killed the day before the "high sabbath", which was a special holy day that was not saturday. Preperation day to the "special" sabbath was the day before, or wednesday. That is smack dab in the middle of the week when the bible says HE was cut off. Most study bibles tell you that it is a high sabbath, it is in the New International Version ( NIV ) but not the KJV. Look Unity..the Sabbath after Yeshua was crucified was a high day (Thursday) one of the Jews holy days the First day of Unleavened bread..which was a high day (or special) Sabbath, which is still practiced today. The regular weekly Sabbath had not yet come. PEOPLE SAY THAT, THE BIBLE DOESNT. Christ died on a wednesday and rose on Saturday. If you count it you will get 3 days and 3 nights just like he said. Wed night, thurs night and friday night and he rose Saturday on the Sabbath. Notice when mary came on sunday Christ was already gone which means he rose on Saturday.

The "MIDST OF THE WEEK" is the MIDDLE OF THE WEEK which is a WEDNESDAY. The Messiah was cut off (died) in the MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. The sacrifice ceased because when he died there was no need 4 any more sacrifices.
