asking the denying company is not a great idea at first. the very first thing anyone should do when they are denyed is to thank them for taking the time to either read your email or letter or taking the time to actually meet with your team which is unlikly. a thank you goes a long way especially in paintball a lot of the sports players are kind of dicks so if your one to stand out like she said youll be more noticed. never ask immediatly what you did wrong treat it like a job interview.

Things out of the ordinary sticks out, most of those things out of the ordinary that a lot of sponsors tend to go for are people that usually provide content that you go to once and that's it. But content that people will want to come back to well into the future is what they are not supporting. The players that usually do not go much out of their way to find support, rather than you, on the other hand, invest much more effort into it. From what I see, not worth it.

being sponsored is simple, it just takes some time. You win tourneys, local at first, then bigger tourneys, then you present your wins to a company, and like gp said in the vid, you present the company your ideas on how you could support the company, and they'll decide. When it comes to d2 or d1, which both are pretty much at the pro level, you'll start getting full sponsorship offers from company's. My advice is to just work your way up.

I disagree, sponsors arent looking for people who are kind to other people, they are looking for well established teams with a reputatuion who are repetiveley on the podium and getting their name out there. Also, social networking sites aren't a good way to make connections. Sponsors aren't going to take the time to talk to some random kid on the internet. The best way is travel to national events and meet people there, and know people who already have connections to sponsors and their employees
