I do question how 'genuine' this was, allowing it to be filmed. I can understand the full implications and advantages of breaking sexual taboos in conjunction with ritual analogies to diminish societal and cultural conditioning, and consequently gaining personal power from such an act, but it seems like egocentric showmanship and publicity-seeking to me. @irwin3 You're missing the rather large chunk that this is not devil worship. Even if a Christian says so, it's not. It's obvious that this documentary is meant to shock the viewer. Alex Sanders, from my reading, did a lot of things for the sake of publicity and this, in my opinion, is one of them. But no, it's not Satanism.

This is *not* Alexandrian Tradition. Initiations are secret and not to be shared with outsiders.

They performed "fake rituals" for the press- according to Maxine Sanders, one time they took a recipe from a cookbook and recited it backwards in 'ritual' because they knew they were being filmed and it would create a shock factor.

Alex did outrageous stuff like this all the time. He knew that by being shocking, he would get more press out of it. And it worked.

Its hard to understand how he became such a good witch. In Huttons book "Triumpth of the moon" he tells us many ways which Alex could have came to be with Gardners material. I personally cant make my mind up......even if Pat was his initiator......it wasnt a true Gardnerian initiation because a authorized HPS wasnt preforming the rite; and even in the Book "Witches Way" the farrars hint that Alex was most likely never initiated to the stricked ways which he himself commanded.
