  • Ooooh Betty those were good! You are right, they arent hot at all. More like a stronger bell pepper taste but without the harsh bite. Very good stuff. I love watching your clips.

  • Betty, A quick tip as I pickle jalapenos frequently; use the melon baller from the small end to the cut, stem end. The seeds and veins come out, usually, with one scrape of the instrument. Also, if you don't own a melon baller, just use a small measuring spoon. Works just as well. Drag it, with a downward motion, along the vein, and all should come out, no problem. Love your videos. Hope that little tidbit will help someone.

  • @abuelita23xxx Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it!

  • dear betty, im from México how exactly are the country sausage? they looks to me like pathé

  • @masterplomo1 country sausage is a sausage made from ground pork and has pepper, sage, and other spices

  • I gorgeous Kentucky woman making delicious and original dishes? Please give this woman a daytime TV show!

  • i like the fact that you dont use extra brand names when making your food. Some people swear by a product brand to the point where you're really not sure if the brand that we have at home will work. You on the other hand let us choose what brand we would like to use THANKS!!!

  • Great job Betty. I know a different version of the same recipe.

  • Betty, I like all of your recipes and all, but I feel if you made the videos shorter, you may bet more viewers.

  • I just want to say you do a great job. You should have your own show! You have it all, you are very pretty and just ooze a sweetness and charm, not to mention GREAT FOOD!

  • these can vary drastically in heat level depending on the batch of Jalapenos you get. Theres some about as mild as a green pepper and theres others that are quite a bit more beasty. When I make poppers I'm not fussy over getting all the seeds out.

  • @teflondon91 Thanks for the additional information!

    --Betty :)

  • KROGER!!

you can take the girl out of kentucky but you can't take the kentucky out of the girl! oh how i miss home.... i am really convinced that you need your own show on food network and shine with your southern belle charm~ i love all your videos and keep up the great work! i think i'm gonna make myself a hot brown tomorrow! :D

  • @kawaiiglo Thanks for your lovely comment! I appreciate it!

  • Hi Betty,

i never heard of 'armadillo eggs' but they look very charming ;-)

unfortunely fresh Jalapenos are almost impossible to get here in Germany

but i will grow my own this year and then i'm gonna make this recipe next

to some Jalapeno poppers, so call it a Jalapeno Party :-))

btw. your cookbook has arrived, very nice!

    Joe from Germany

  • Hi Joe!

I am glad you are going to have your own jalapenos! The dish I uploaded today has jalapenos in it! And, I just bought the ingredients to make some jalapeno poppers--they will probably be different from yours! I hope you enjoy the cookbook.

    Have a beautiful day!

  • Making these tonight...I'm sure they will be a big hit!

  • really looks great at end with shot of them just sizzling....

  • Omg that outfit is absolutely sexicals.

    Mmmhm... you go girl.

  • Hmm that cheese oozing from the sausage is tempting my taste buds. I've never heard of Armadillo Eggs before, but they look delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

  • Betty, I made these and my gang loved them. I avoided having to shift around the stuffing to make it even at the end by scoring the mixture in 3 parts then scoring those thirds in 4 parts. These are not too hot at all...just nice and spicy. Thanks, Betty.

  • Thanks Betty, That looks so good

  • nicely done, I may have to try this on the BBQ!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • You totatlly read my mind about the taste test. :)

  • "remember this is an egg and thats the yolk"... LOLZZ!!! can any one get cuter than this?

I am not a big fan of sausage.. I am gonna try this with ground turkey...

  • @MsClrs I was thinking the same thing. Turkey all the way...

  • Looks great. How would I make a Seasoned coating mix from scratch?

  • @viperam57 Just buy or make bread crumbs (you can let bread dry in a low temp oven for awhile and then grind it up in the food processor)...and then season as you like. It's simple!

  • You could put some butter crackers or corn flakes in a ziplock bag, along with the spices you want (in this case maybe sage), and use a rolling pin to crush and roll the bag until the mix is very fine. For different recipes, just vary the herbs and spices you use with the crumbs. I hope you enjoy this recipe!

  • Hi Betty ! I love your recipes !

could you make a video on how to make breakfast sausages from scratch ?

it´s hard to find them here in Brazil =(

    thanks

  • Those look so delicious Betty. I love dishes that contain cheese it is so tasty. Perhaps you could plant the pepper seeds to grow some more?

    thanks for sharing :-) Richard

  • yummm im gonna make this tomarrow thank you

  • Looks delish, I love the presentation:-) Looks great for a party or get together. Faved this video so I can try it.

  • the seeds hold all of the heat so it wouldn't be hot at all. I reccomend covering your hands if you are working with jalapenos tho, I was deseeding one and one got stuck under my nail and I got it out but my finger burned for a couple days no matter how much I clean under my nail, and if you breathe it in it will make you cough and sneeze, eek

  • I've never heard of this dish before - l'd like to try it. I've also never seen sausage like this - pate-like in texture (I've only seen/bought the dried deli kind). Dumb question: is this cooked, ground sausage you have or is it ground raw sausage that you have to cook? Thanks!

  • This is raw ground sausage that you have to cook. Thanks for clarifying!

    --Betty :)

  • Thanks! I actually tried this yesterday, but I used meatballs I had on hand because I wasn't sure of the raw/cooked question (I cut the meatballs up fine) - - things still worked great and it was very tasty!

    Cheers!

  • That is really cute! I have never heard of this dish before so thank you for introducing them to me.

  • wow looks nice i love peppers, i love hot dishes i eat chilli peppers for breakfast hehehe..

  • I'm having friends around tomorrow night and I'll definitely be making these as one of my dishes! Another fantastic recipe, as always! Thank youuuu Betty!!

  • tank you betty

trying this tonight for the boys!!

  • Cute recipe!

  • green chillis arent as hot as red. green are more on the sourish side while red ones are hotter..well thats what we chinese use (: and taste it

  • Betty, these are awesome!

My nephew when he was 8, made these for me, while he was at camp. They were awesome beyond reason! There were only (if i remember) 2 different modifications he used, when he brought them to me.

    - He added tomato sauce in the filling.

    - He also used red and orange peppers, and added some of the seeds in the peepers as a garnish

Whatever the less, they were still awesome, and I have no doubt these are to. Best of wishes to you betty!

  • We made these last year there great!

    Thank you Betty.

  • Looks great!

  • oo yum! xx
