The EU has indeed led to a loss of sovereignty of the participating nations. Many laws are being decided at the EU level which affect the citizens negatively by effectively negating the participation of local governments in the decision making process. The richer nations are now being flooded with cheap labor competing for jobs, and footing the bill for EU subsidies while the poorer countries are trying to come to grips with the massive inflation caused by them.
