Its possible to use toan for the whole fight.

Hint: When you release a charge attack, u r invincible (as toan).

I had a Chronicle Sword and it took a while but it worked out.

I duel the Black Knight with Toan; the jump cut does MASSIVE damage, and seems to avoid a few of his swipes, and for fun I always stay within his reach.

say toan was born in 1500. seda lived during the 1100s if that were true the attlamelia? would have to travel 400 years to be able to contact eachother so max would have to be born aroun the year 1700 and monica would have to be born around the 1400s right? oh and comp;etely beside the point, THIS BOSS ROCKS!!!! I remember making an extra file just so i could fight him over and over again.

It would be nice if bonus dungeons could already be unlocked on the first playthrough and you could go through it before fighting the final boss so you could get a really good weapon like you did here to make the final boss fight easier, but I guess it doesn't work like that. :(

I mean, I think you can fight the Dark Genie a second time with the best sword, but replay is kind of boring. :(

Actually an easy strategy to beat him is to charge your main characters special attack (the spiral attack) up and then when you release by the Knight, it does good damage to him and it doesn't hurt your character or risk breaking your weapon. It was pretty much all I came up with years ago when I first played through this game ^_^

Definitley. Esepcially just getting up there is such a chore, that any reason to play more is pretty much gone. My first playthough was legit blind playthrough: over 200 saves, and maxed out the clock.

This boss was such a letdown. After I defeated the Dark Genie I only played this game occasionally for a couple of years because the Demon Shaft was so ridiculously long and difficult. So, then after many years I finally reached the Dark Knight Pendragon. First phase was just dodge and spam your gun at him with Osmond and then for phase 2, stamina pot + Chronicle Sword maxed out and boom I killed him in about 3 hits. I was hoping for a MUCH harder fight.

I often wondered that myself, they always give you the ultimate weapons for beating the last boss and in most cases the games don't have a replay element where you can carry over your weapons to a new game... I guess you could go wail on the dark genie again with the chronicle 2 weapon.

Xiao had the "Angel Gear" slingshot represented as "Ange Gear" in some of the weapon screens because of a missed game typo.

Osmund had the "Star Breaker" gun.

Supernova has higher stats than the star breaker so in a way it is better, but I like the Star Breaker because of the quicker rate of fire than the Supernova.

Wow, I just finished leveling up the Jackal and the Snail, and you're right, Supernova is over 2x more powerful than the Star Breaker, but SB is way more fun to use. XD

@mev1978 nice. i would use a drans feather and have ungaga slice the pendragon with babels spear and then use xiao with super steve for his commentary!! i live super steve and i used him during every boss fight. he like.. keeps ya company. but it took me ten minutesfor the battle because i didnt upgrade steve with the broken dagger glitch. i found a bunch of flapping dusters and got about 32 gems in the gallery of time.

@jerongordon I never came across a flapping duster. I have the US version of the game and there was a rumor that they took out the flapping dusters for that release. Do you know if this is true? I must have spend twenty hours or so down in the gallery of time trying to find one of those things when i first played the game.

@mev1978 well i exploited a glitch that when you open the demon shaft you can go to jacks store in queens at NIGHT and buy them! so just go to jacks store and see if there are any if not, reset and try again. the glitch should work.

It is possible to kill him without using Stamina Potions, I used up all of my healing items and most of my Stand in powders though when I did beat him. Funny thing is that it was Ungaga that delivered the final blow.

Ungaga did have the Babel Spear though, so it must have been quite a bit of damage.
