  • Days of "real" entertainment on television.

  • S'alright!

  • Which one is human?

  • You've got to be good if both Statler and Waldorf like it.

    XD

  • Now you know where Jeff Dunham got his act.

  • 4:10 video: From episode 508 of The Muppet Show, Señor Wences acts with Johnny and Pedro.

Wenceslao Moreno (April 17, 1896 – April 20, 1999), better known as Señor Wences.

  • Now I know where Cartman's Jennifer Lopez came from!!

  • This is amazing. It's the most hypnotic and hilarious thing I've ever seen.

  • i like his act but he's kind of bad at ventriliquism. Before tv was popular he did acts on the radio. WHY WOULD HE BE ON THE RADIO IF HE WAS A VINTRILIQUIST?!??!?!?!?

  • @kamphychair Senor Wences bad at ventriloquism? Yeah, right... he was on the radio because radio was massive, there were a lot of radio vents back then.

  • @kamphychair

One of the biggest acts in the country was Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy..."they were on the air from May 9, 1937 to July 1, 1956. The popularity of a ventriloquist on radio, when one could see neither the dummies nor his skill, surprised and puzzled many critics, then and now. Even knowing that Bergen provided the voice, listeners perceived Charlie as a genuine person..." (Wikipedea)

My grandfather's name was Charlie McCarthy...can you imagine the jokes?

  • @anniepajamie I'm sure your grandfather was no dummy... ;D

  • How could someone fit so much talent into one act? He's got ventriloquism, plate spinning, comedy, and singing. It's mindboggling!

  • S'okay? S'alright!

  • One of the best ventriloquists ever. Just shows you that pretty much anything can be cool if done well.

  • Never heard of him before, but he looks great.

  • What an original!!!

  • now i get that south park reference

  • This is strange, she said admiringly.

  • really? are people still doing this?

  • I didn't know Senor Wences did the Muppet show. I tell you though, Senor Wences cracks me up!

  • Now that's an entertainer! Bravo!

  • The only one that has even come close is Jeff Dunham!

  • I got to say that was brilliant and I'd like it if someone these days tried to top it, which means someone would have to be original. This was original.

  • lol wow. that was odd but funny.

i didnt know about this until the south park thing

  • simply superb. i remember watching him on Ed Sullivan in the 1960's and being mesmerized then.

  • Jajajajaaaaaa

    q pedazo de artista !!!

  • I was maybe 5 when I first saw this on a rerun, I don't remember laughing so hard in my life. It will stay with me forever.

  • S'alright

  • if johnny had black hair...he would so look like Michael Jackson.

  • @pika23 He sounds a little like him too.

  • parkay!

  • This has always my all-time favorite Muppet Show act. I've seen it maybe a thousand times since 1977, and I NEVER get tired of it!!!

  • I think this was the only act on the Muppet Show that the two old men in the balcony actually liked.

  • Senor Wences was only great. S'alright?

  • I can't resist:

    S'alright!

  • One of my all time favorite Muppets moments!

  • So that's where Jeff Dunham & Jose get the "Don't close the door!" bit!
