@LPGhatguy yeah, I hope somehow that microsoft saw the popularity of painting the accessories black to match the elite and that contributed to some of their new black items. At the time this was made you couldn't buy a wireless headset or chatpad in black. :P

@waterdragon1908 I always use geltabz over my sticks...but they do feel a bit slicker then before.  I'm not sure I'd suggest painting them. I'm pretty sure since it's a material that has thickness...you will eventually wear the paint off it too by pressure and movement.

@player228799 What you want is a t8/t9 torque wrench or security torque or security hex wrench. It's called many things. You can find a set at some hardware stores or on the internet. Lots of them on Ebay. :P

@wadwarfy it's duplicolor vinyl and fabric i believe. I didn't use a clear coat cause I prefer a "drier" feel to the controller instead of glossy and kinda tacky.

it's definitely safe, as long as it's the vinyl paint...it dries 100% smooth and I'm still using my black controller and not one bit of paint has come off the buttons after hours of use.

hey just to let you know for krylon fusion, the reason it chipped for you is that it needs to cure for approximately a week, once it does it isn't sticky and it will not wear.

when you take it apart, it's actually a plastic sleeve that goes around it and the led's shine into. Just slide the button out and you're set. :P

and its on a controller i had my friend kernal tubbs *tattoo artist* paint it and it has a brown theme with a rose leaves lady and webs withis stars n shit but it looks like a 360 controller from the 50's lol

but thats the button goin on there and start select bumpers n triggers are also red

careful with the chrome, it's more for looks. It's not made for plastics as much as the other paints, so I'll never use that other controller.

noway you could hurt it, I'd probably try and tape on something and paint it if you wanted it to last longer. Marker will rub off.
