the Kodak Max can shoot in RAW mode!! Big difference for us photo takers. Also a CMOS sensor is a better sensor. Better pixels is better than more pixels. You need the Kodak Max!!
12 MP is more than enough resolution unless you are going to be doing serious professional work on your photos in Photo editing. The sacrifice is not made in the megapixels and you get more zoom and better video resolution. The Max is a "better" buy, but they are very similar. The Max improves on zoom and video recording aspects. The Z981 is great for all around versatility w/ the removable vertical grip and secondary button options
Or 18MP, OR A Sony Pro Camcorder, And its 25 MP. and I Would Should More Video

@MrKubasvensken no but for 30 bucks more i got a sony cybershot dsc hx9v that has gps and higher rez and 1080 video and 16x zoom
