  • I own one now, avalanche woodie with boxxer fork,

  • Remember, you have 2" of rearward travel and 8" of upward (standard) travel for a really plush feel. Again, don't take my word for it. Email Canfield on their website or hit up someone who owns a rocket ship Jedi for a better explanation. Thanks!

  • This is a great question, best posed to the Canfield Brothers themselves or someone who rides a Jedi. I THINK what that statement means is that, under braking, the frame leans back (slacker geometry), and the bike squats into the travel; however, I don't think the suspension is inactive, rather less reactive then normal.

  • i dont get it mate...if under braking the frame leans back.

does it mean that the suspension would be inactive?

  • That looks awesome. Has anyone riden the Can Can? I'm considering getting one.

  • Thanks alot buddy. I've decided i'm going for the Canfield Jedi f1:) cheers.

  • Anytime! Good call...I'm sure you'll be very happy with the F1. I met a guy in Fontana, CA during last race season and he couldn't say enough good things about it....fastest bike he ever rode. Have fun out there!

  • Hmm...tough decision. Both are great DH bikes. If you plan to use it for FR and DH, I might suggest the Jedi as it is a more efficient peddler. The Jedi is also shorter overall which will make it snappier in tight corners. Both have similar rear travel that (according to reviews) seems bottomless and both are relatively light for DH rigs. Ultimately, it will come down to where and how you plan to ride the bike. Customer service at CB is also fantastic...Chris answers the phone himself!

  • trying to decide wether i should buy this or a santa cruz v10... hmm

  • Better is somewhat subjective. In terms of suspension design, it is unique in that it offers a 10" travel feel with 2" of rear-ward travel and 8" of upward, making it SMOOTH over the rough patches (rock gardens, roots, etc...). PLUS, it is an independently owns company which always rules. The Canfield brothers are great guys who stand behind their bikes and rip to boot! The Jedi is rumored to be the fastest DH bike on the planet and I do not doubt it! Lighter than the others listed as well.

  • Is this any better than an iron horse sunday and a santa cruz v10 or a specialized demo?

  • this is my mtb.....sweeeeet.....

  • Awesome! You are the proud owner of a race ready, obstacle crushing machine. Ride hard and good luck with it!

  • Thanks

  • funny how this looks exactly like a Draco Vigilante...... hmmm how did that happen canfield.....?
