  • This album was a demo recorded for Sergio Mendes not a finished product. Most of the tracks were recorded in one or two takes. It still sounds great. Just Re-released on CD in 2010 this East L.A. Band was lead Max Uballez known to be talent behind the creation of the 1960’s Eastside Sound resident producer, arranger songwriter at Rampart Records and the Producer of Land of 1000 Dances.

  • @1magoodo Thanks for the info... never knew it was a demo! Geez...if only music today can be as good as the demos of those days!

  • I was at many of their rehearsals and at the studio when they recorded some of these tracks...the late Lee Pastora played congas with Don Ellis, James Taylor, Brecker Brothers and many other great groups...the pailero, Eddie Caicedo went from here to the Beach boys, a gig i inherited...these guys are missed...Fred Ramirez is still out there gigging in LA!

  • excelente amigos. gracias chavee49 this takes me back to the day. ah great stuff.
