  • The ship was gonna sink every one knew it it took them 3 times to break the champagne bottle there was a heart attack and the ship hit the wall

  • The Edmund Fitsgerald was built in River Rouge, Mi at the Great Lakes Engineering Works, located at the foot of Great lakes Ave. and launched in 1958. My father took al of us there and it made quiet an impression on this 8 year old kid. A big beautiful ship.

  • I am also from Duluth, Minnesota. The fitzgerald's last voyage actually went out the Superior, WI side onto the lake. Every year in November, a tribute is paid to the sailors and their families:)
