  • эх Пашка наши еще пока мало знают тебя а зря!Одна Пиндосня в комментах...((приятно осознавать Что есть конкурентоспособный музыкант и в добавок из России!!Так держать!

  • I love monk and this interpretation made me smile. It is truly amazing how everyone one of us has a different taste. What you hear is what you hear, and to be interpreted, whom ever you are. This is wonderful.

  • YOU CAN PLAY WELL, BUT THAT AIN'T BLUE MONK.....

  • @SuperXmadness

    just improvisation maybe..

  • hate it

  • i was'nt expecting this, but nice jam

  • Damn son. You got chops. The backing track is hella cheesy though

  • hey dude you forgot to swing- you dont get paid by the note

  • what kind of body wood?

  • @lawina76 basswood

  • its good but not following on monk at all

  • Fantastic technique and style. This guy has turned a jazz standard into a King of the blues entry for guitar center. completely missing a good feel of the main themes in blue monk. Sadly this video should be titled blues jam in the key of " what song am i playing"

  • Great playing

  • Great!!! Thelonius is dancing down there!!

    ps:is that a suhr????

  • @19bluesman87 it's Suhr Standard

  • @19bluesman87 I agree, Monk wouldn't mind this - no antithesis of Monk at all - rhythmical stretching of melodies, isn't that a Monk keynote? Good energy too in this playing, cheers

  • Det der var ikke fedt Google translate danish

  • great playing i just the distortion was smoother!

  • Wahhhh!!! Hahaha Good =D

  • Yhea good. Thelonious would dig it for sure.

  • If this is "BLUE MONK" my dick just turned into John Coltrane!! I would hate to hear what he plays over "Mary had a little Lamb"

  • This is the antithesis of Thelonious Monk

  • that blew me away. Nice work sir.

  • Great,

although this solo has NOTHING to do with monk's personality at all, so it's not fair people are being referred to this video while watching Thelonious Monk video's. Many people are obviously charmed by the way Monk performed, and just senseless shredding on his chordprogressions isn't enough to use his name as a title for this video. Then just say you are using standard blues chordprogressions.

    :-O

  • agreed, just because its played in the same key doesn't make it the same song

  • shut up you...who cares...

  • Who the H would want to look like steve vai!

  • Great - Adventurous

  • he wants to look like Steve Vai :D:D

  • i agree shredding in blues and jazz sucks !!

  • jeffafou said "jazz is invention"

It seems to me, and it's a pity, that there's not much invention here. His technical facility is impressive but I don't think he is really improvising - it sounds very learned.

  • please tell me what kind of axe you got there? ( the one you're playing that is)

  • you're are pissing on a classic...

  • Thelonius would not like to be considered as classic. You should listen to his "Just a gigolo". Jazz is invention and not classical music

  • I don't mean classical music, I mean in the sense that casablanca is a classic.

also, it's really impressive playing, I guess I'm just conservative with my jazz. I was drunk on the first comment so it was meaner than I intended.

  • Nah...I agree with you. This guy totally fagged this piece up.

He's not bad, but Monk should never be played like this.

  • LOVED IT! Great interpretation of the tune, man!

  • You amazing man!

  • Nice, although it might not be what Thelonious Monk had in mind ;-)

  • VERY, VERY NICE....

  • Oh My God!

    Super!!!

  • a suhr :)

  • Holy shhh...I just put my guitar down after watchin that...I suck...It'd take me the rest of my life to throw rust like that....cheeezzz...good night

  • Brilliant playing.

  • This really is brilliant....and it IS Blue Monk. Isn't that what improvisation is all about?

  • laravice...

If you compare that kind of playing to Yngwie Malmsteen, it tells me that you know nothing of yngwie malmsteen. That improv was more of a fusion-y improv and it was a fusion-y version of the song, not straight up blues, it would be boring to hear the same song always played the same way. I for one love to hear songs played differently.

  • @HlynurS

the correct anwser is steve vie

  • @jazzwad Steve Vai?

  • Паша запиши видео Something Private

я и здешний народ тебе будут оч благодарны :)

  • its cool but its barely blue monk anymore.

  • great version!

  • I love this video dude, great stuff. What kind of mic are you using to record your guitar?
