Ok for all y'all who don't know anything, older trucks do use bigger engines, but they didn't have the technology to make them have an enormous amount of torque...and yea older trucks do look heavier, but newer trucks put a lot more weight into the chassis and body, so newer trucks are heavier
@gasflame62 Old trucks are bigger, heavier, and generally have bigger V8 engines than the current V8s. The problem here was the truck used 4-wheel drive and the Bronco didn't.
well the bronco beat u the firdt time the only real reason u won was bc he lost traction an didnt hit his breaks if he hadnt lost traction he prolly wouldve got u again because the older ford motors stomp all over the new ones in both torque an hp
i dont own the truck, i dont haul it anywhere, i just drive it in pulls sometimes. im only 15 so yeah...but itl pull just about anything you want it to when they have it dialed in. they just lowered it 5 inches so i doubt itl pull a small car backwards atm....but when its dialed in, you cant touch it. i was in a lockdown pull for 23 minutes before the other truck burnt down, my shoe was on fire from the heat of the transmission, i was only in 2wd as the front pinion gear stripped shitless...
Yeah, tapping the brakes is cheating. Real tug of war, foot should be way off the brake pedal. Both guys just give it gas and hope for the best. But nice vid.
Wrong dodge, In the real tug o war competitions, they ride the brakes all the time and its not cheating. i pull with my gf's dads truck all the time and i ride the breaks, so does the competitor, the brakes are to keep the tires from breaking traction and wanting to roll backwards, and of course the gas pedal is to keep the tires wantin to roll forward. :p
well, if they agreed not to use the breaks then itd be cheating. but if no one said anything bout usin the brakes theres no harm done. imo anyways. but in the actualy competitions that i pull in there is no harm in using the brakes.
haul with? do you mean what do we use to take the truck from point a to b or what is the pulling truck itself? The hauler is usually a semi retired rollback. and the truck itself is a chevy s10 with a stock 350 from the junkyard wich is hard to believe when it snatches those 1100hp trucks allover the pad. but anyways, it has a ford ranger body on it. it runs *at idle* 60-70psi in oil pressure :O. its got dual transfer cases with 2.5 ton rockwells...im runnin outta room so ill put more in another
@SoloDiablo1984 - thats what you do in pulls like these. Its not the power its traction and weight
Trebuer22 1 week ago
You did cheat, you had your break on until he started burning out loosing traction, then you punched it, classic bitch move.
