yes even in the US they use old tanks,old planes, people think that abrams main battle tank is new , just check it out it was build in 70's and thats old ! same with the F15 was build in 60's and still fly for USAF and so the passanger planes they old and do fly ... just needs to be maintain . Now days people try to save and by doing this planes do fall just like cars get in accidents, still this is big tragedy R.I P from USA.
@fulcrumize The thing about the M1 Abrams is that there have been new variants. The M1A2 started production in 1992, for example. But I do understand your point. Canada flies this Sea King helicopters from I think 1960 or 1970 and they fall apart all the time despite a rigorous maintenance program. I think we may have finally replaced them though.
Yak-42 as being an old Soviet plane?...a mock-up was revealed to western aviation writers in June 1973. The average Boeing 747-400 and 767-300 are about 40 years old too. They're all some old planes. lmao.
