I won't vote for McCain either. I completely agree. I also think that as long as the majority of the capital is in the hands of an elite minority we will never have a true capitalist economy. From your video where you quit posting, you sound a lot like you have read Wendell Berry. CREC people love him, they are very agrarian and I have met a few Orthodox who love him. I feel terrible to work on a computer all day and go home to write magazines on another one. I admire him for writing long hand.

Neither are great candidates. McCain is a senile old man who has a knack for lying when it is politically opportune. He also can't stop drinking the neocon kool-aid. Obama's foreign policy is too hawkish, and he is too far left on cultural issues (though I don't believe they will play a big part of American politics over the next four years). Both have their faults, both have their strengths.

I think this will be another close election because there are alot of people who don't want another Rep b/c they dont want another George Bush. Yet there are alot of older people that wont vote for a woman or a black man. So they vote for Rep's. I just wish any candidate would fix the Iraq situation however that can be done. I think McCain wants out too, but is facing too much pressure from his party. The Dem's always introduce new taxes/social programs too.

Alot of times, the candidates aren't going to be 100% representative of somebody's personal values. Take me for example. I'm Catholic and against abortion, yet I vote Democrat because I feel that they are good for the Unions because they're opposed to big business. And the economy seems to do better when a Dem is in office. The Republicans always start wars and they support big business. Which is why I do not vote for them. Don't let others sway you either. After the 2001 Election, I almost feel like my vote doesn't count. The electoral college basically picked Bush even though Gore won the popular vote=BS. I will vote. I always do. I just won't be a tool like the rest of the sheep that go to the polls to vote for the "lesser of two evils." I will vote my conscience, even if it means voting for someone who won't win. At least I'll be able to sleep at night knowing my vote wasn't wasted on a nominee who presumes that I am in their default category. You go ahead and do that. Its a shame that the American voter became enchanted with their allgeinces to their party rather than how the candidates agree to their values. I see many people who keep commenting that candidate Ron Paul does not have a chance and they should choose a candidate who has a chance to win. It's such a shame because you lose the right of your freedom to choose the candidate that suits your concerns most, to a candidate who has a chance to win according to the testimony of someone else.
