:D I've been looking for this!! I got the Soundtrack Bonus/Plus CD from iTunes, and one of the songs specifically is from this trailer (although I'm pretty sure it says 2007 rather than 2008, hence why it took so long to find). great to finally get a picture to link the song to, :3
Love this game, I don't care what anyone else says. [I've finished and am stuck on Vercingetorix mission. Help anyone? (how much HP and/or weapons/accesories would I need to beat it?)
As dynamic as Lightning was development wise, she was a bit stoic for my tastes. Fang and Sazh rock my boat, and seriously needed more screen time and resolve.
This game is so boring after you've beaten it.. The only thing that kept me going through this game was to see the end, becouse final fantasy ALWAYS have epic endings. This game didn't have that! :@
I'll give it a 5/10 couse of the graphics and lightning.. rest was shit

I'm feel'n everything bout the new FF. All there stories(characters, settings, etc.) differ, but the same classical themes, they always kept(airships, lv'd magic, summons, n' they must have Chocobos. Idk bout moogles, they on/off). I don't see what the prob' is. Its FF, at itself, as usual. I jus think they should keep it loyal wit jus Ps3, not the 360(XI has a pass, cus' its online). I'll be wait'n fa its release(I waited fa every other FF title, n' all the other real fans did as well).
i actually hate it (is response to the question of the music) i LOVE final fantasy, but the scores for final fantasy 12 DID MY NUT in - repetative over dramatic and too cheesy. And i'm an avid fan of classical/film scores which usually are very twee. This game's supposed to have the triumphing musicians and composers from the best ff titles, but if THIS is the title theme im frankly VERY dissapointed. everything else does look AMAZING. i just wish they had done something NEW with the music! :)
*breathes sigh of relief* i should have realised, just i knew if like X-2 and XII they used this peice of music FOR EVERYTHING *with a twist* it woulda driven me crazy!
But as if to proove me wrong, ive heard some in game tracks and it's all.absolutely.amazing. What i think is the main theme and battle tune i think are contenders for best yet. (as i always say with a new FF :P ) And if this isnt even a main theme, along with all these other tracks it's gonna be one musically explosive game!

This game looks so fucking weird... shoulda stuck to the sword and scorcery shit instead of trying to push into the futuristic style... doesn't suite Final Fantasy right... but we'll see....
i really hate it when someone mistakes 2 completely diffrent characters for the same character. Sera ( girl with pig tails) is not lightning( girl with gunblade 2.0)
is the girl with Carbuncle, the girl on the edge of the cliff, and Lightning, the same girl? I mean, the girl on the cliff/the girl with Carbuncle both seem relatively good natured and kind, unlike what lightning seems to be. Maybe it's Lightning in a flashback? And something happened to make her so serious.
Anyway - WOW. It's stunning! and not only are the graphics drool inducing, but i'm LOVING the soundtrack!!!

i've lost faith in the final fantasy series, its seem that they are just trying far too hard, FF7, still the best FF game ever made, they should stick to their roots. they concentrate too much on the graphics, and the "showy" parts of it and take less time on the gameplay. =/
Lol. FF-XIII the main character is Lightning, whereas in Versus the main character a prince named Noctis. They both revolve around this "crystal" thing. :3 I've yet to know the full story yet, so correct me if I am wrong. xD
im not sure about that because they said that they will be different types of surroundings because ffxiii will be pure fantasy based and ffversusxiii will reality fantasy based , so it could be a different approach
yawn. so now were done with final fantasy and onto future fantasy. so not cool. somehow i always found the turn based epic awsome uniqueness of ff 1-8 better than 10x2 and up. final fantasy was a turn based intense turn based fighting game with awsome power and unique things like the gunblade. now its real guns (we all hav seen them, these ones look like starwars knockoffs) and simple extremely shiny swords in an intense graphiced environment. somehow i prefered the more imaginative ones...

Bah, this just means I don't have to fork out another $700 (AUD) for a game console I'll hardly use. I can spend it on something more worthwhile, like, uh, erm, 500 litres of chocolate milk.
I hate the Microsoft as much as every PS3 fanboy but their console was cheaper and came with two games. And money is power my friend, or a lot of chocolate milk. ^_^
this game.....i'd say meh, a game is normaly judged on gameplay and stoy line, and from this preview, you cant really gather much from the 3-5 seconds of actual gameplay that is shown, and the story line will kinda predictable and i havent got enough remaining characters left to say all that i want to about this topic
even so, i still hold my opinion that until it proves itself otherwise, in my books it shall remain a game that only people who are properly into the final fantasy series will like
final fantasy versus 13 is still ps3 exlusive, and we can guess that an FF7 remake will be as well. Add that to the ending of the compilation of FF7 and kh3, and i would prefer the ps3. Most 360 games are available for windows, but alot of ps3 games r exlusive
Well that doesn't make the 360 a bad system it has many good games also. There is no proof of an FF remake either or that KH3 will stay bound to Sony. Square-Enix seems to be doing whatever they think will help them make the most money. They are probably just testing the waters with FF13 I think we will start to see many more core games from Square-Enix coming out for the systems it can run on.
Testuya Nomura is the creator of Final Fantasy 7,8,10, and kingdom hearts. He is also working on FFversus XIII. He is the reason why Americans have not seen the internation games for us playstations, so u can probably bet that he will make his games for japanese systems. Also, i would say that a secret ending at the end of crisis core that is FF7's opening vid in hg means that they will probably make a remake. They r just to busy at the moment to work on it
It does not mean they will remake the game, there is always a possibility of them remaking it but even if they do it wont matter because they will probably be thinking about remaking 7-9. Like I said they want to make as much money as possible and if they remake 7-9 everyone will buy them and they will make tons of money. So chanses of it happening are very high but the real question is when will they do it. Doesn't nessasarly mean it will happen this year but possibly in several years.
Also Testuya Nomura did not create 7,8,10, and kingdom hearts. He was only the director and a monster/character designer. It may also please you to know he joined Square during the making of Final Fantasy 5 as a monster desginer and worked his way up. Nomura doesn't get to deside what the games come out on that job is left up the the presedent Yōichi Wada and possibly the stock holders.
Nomura was also the basic story designer of 7,8 and 10, and he did direct Kingdom Hearts. His team is in charge of versus 13, and he is the one directing it

This game is so boring after you've beaten it.. The only thing that kept me going through this game was to see the end, becouse final fantasy ALWAYS have epic endings. This game didn't have that! :@

Most of the the FFs since 6 (excluding IX) has been set in a futuristic setting.

VI and VII are closer to a futurstic setting, with having advance technology in their stories.
Since these classic games help other games to bring machines and other things are un-traditional RPG games in the early FFs.
Thanks to these games, machines are in this modern age in FF era.
Examples: VIII, X, XII
VIII is modern fanasty and X is "asian" fantasy.
XII is more mixture of "new" medivial fantasy.
( similar feel to VI)

i really hate it when someone mistakes 2 completely diffrent characters for the same character. Sera ( girl with pig tails) is not lightning( girl with gunblade 2.0)

is the girl with Carbuncle, the girl on the edge of the cliff, and Lightning, the same girl? I mean, the girl on the cliff/the girl with Carbuncle both seem relatively good natured and kind, unlike what lightning seems to be. Maybe it's Lightning in a flashback? And something happened to make her so serious.
Anyway - WOW. It's stunning! and not only are the graphics drool inducing, but i'm LOVING the soundtrack!!!

i've lost faith in the final fantasy series, its seem that they are just trying far too hard, FF7, still the best FF game ever made, they should stick to their roots. they concentrate too much on the graphics, and the "showy" parts of it and take less time on the gameplay. =/

Lol. FF-XIII the main character is Lightning, whereas in Versus the main character a prince named Noctis. They both revolve around this "crystal" thing. :3 I've yet to know the full story yet, so correct me if I am wrong. xD

im not sure about that because they said that they will be different types of surroundings because ffxiii will be pure fantasy based and ffversusxiii will reality fantasy based , so it could be a different approach

yawn. so now were done with final fantasy and onto future fantasy. so not cool. somehow i always found the turn based epic awsome uniqueness of ff 1-8 better than 10x2 and up. final fantasy was a turn based intense turn based fighting game with awsome power and unique things like the gunblade. now its real guns (we all hav seen them, these ones look like starwars knockoffs) and simple extremely shiny swords in an intense graphiced environment. somehow i prefered the more imaginative ones...

Bah, this just means I don't have to fork out another $700 (AUD) for a game console I'll hardly use. I can spend it on something more worthwhile, like, uh, erm, 500 litres of chocolate milk.
I hate the Microsoft as much as every PS3 fanboy but their console was cheaper and came with two games. And money is power my friend, or a lot of chocolate milk. ^_^

this game.....i'd say meh, a game is normaly judged on gameplay and stoy line, and from this preview, you cant really gather much from the 3-5 seconds of actual gameplay that is shown, and the story line will kinda predictable and i havent got enough remaining characters left to say all that i want to about this topic

final fantasy versus 13 is still ps3 exlusive, and we can guess that an FF7 remake will be as well. Add that to the ending of the compilation of FF7 and kh3, and i would prefer the ps3. Most 360 games are available for windows, but alot of ps3 games r exlusive

Well that doesn't make the 360 a bad system it has many good games also. There is no proof of an FF remake either or that KH3 will stay bound to Sony. Square-Enix seems to be doing whatever they think will help them make the most money. They are probably just testing the waters with FF13 I think we will start to see many more core games from Square-Enix coming out for the systems it can run on.

Testuya Nomura is the creator of Final Fantasy 7,8,10, and kingdom hearts. He is also working on FFversus XIII. He is the reason why Americans have not seen the internation games for us playstations, so u can probably bet that he will make his games for japanese systems. Also, i would say that a secret ending at the end of crisis core that is FF7's opening vid in hg means that they will probably make a remake. They r just to busy at the moment to work on it

It does not mean they will remake the game, there is always a possibility of them remaking it but even if they do it wont matter because they will probably be thinking about remaking 7-9. Like I said they want to make as much money as possible and if they remake 7-9 everyone will buy them and they will make tons of money. So chanses of it happening are very high but the real question is when will they do it. Doesn't nessasarly mean it will happen this year but possibly in several years.

Also Testuya Nomura did not create 7,8,10, and kingdom hearts. He was only the director and a monster/character designer. It may also please you to know he joined Square during the making of Final Fantasy 5 as a monster desginer and worked his way up. Nomura doesn't get to deside what the games come out on that job is left up the the presedent Yōichi Wada and possibly the stock holders.

Nomura was also the basic story designer of 7,8 and 10, and he did direct Kingdom Hearts. His team is in charge of versus 13, and he is the one directing it
