regarding the bible it's so true. the bible isn't allowed to be modified even slightly, and when it got translated the translation portrayed stuff in a definite way, whereas in truth, the bible alot of times describes stuff that cannot be understood completely. for instance in genesis : "and a flaming sword which turned every way" this description is very definite, in truth in the bible the sword description is someone what cryptic and the reader can only understand the gist of the description
