Back when he was with Milli Vanilli, his singing really didn't take off yet. He admitted in an MTV Special Behind the Music about the scandal that his accent was VERY thick, and probably couldn't sing like this yet, took some Americanization to get his singing on track, and that he did!

Yes frank is alive :) rob and fab new the contract before they started ....he paid for rob to get hep for his drug addition and there is a 1997 milli vanilli album recorded with rob n fab but rob died days before the album was issued fab still records and has done some amazing tracks x

They didn't know what was in the contract because they had no legal representation, the contract was written in German and Fab and Rob only spoke French and English.

I think at the time Fab's voice was pretty thick, he admitted that in an interview back in the day. As the years went on he perfected his voice and he was able to be more comfortable singing Live. He's definitely a good singer.

The thing about Milli Vanilli was that the songs that were written for them were really good pop songs. The originals who recorded the songs are what I will always remember hearing on the radio. You have to give this guy credit he has a "decent" voice. The song sounds better with the "original" singers though.
