In Gomes' defence, he was absolutely outstanding the year we qualified for the Champions League. Probably the best shot-stopper in the league and made very few mistakes. I'd advise people to look up the Arsenal game at White Hart Lane that season where he made 3 world class saves from Robin Van Persie in the closing stages to help us hold on for a 2-1 win. That said he was woeful in the preceding and following seasons and i'm glad to have safe hands Brad on board!
