ummmmm the vibrant does have a forward facing camera just not in the states. Here in canada and in europe the phone has a ffc also a physical home key and different button layout. Ultimately the same hardware and os. But a much better version than its counterpart south of the border

dude if u root the vibrant, it blows the my touch 4g out the park application and user interface wise, plus it gets android 2.2 update. get the vibrant for a good rooted phone.

Just so you know the Mytouch Line of phones comes with 2 types of screen. One made by Sony and the other by some other company. The sony is the good screen and sadly to say, the mytouch phone you have on your demo is the phone with the BAD SCREEN. See how the colors looks washed out?! I will however agree with you and say that the super AMOLED screen does have more deeper and brighter colors.

MyTouch is a really really nice phone.,. It does not hold a candle to my Vibrant but it is really nice. I have had my Vibrant since Oct 2010 and can't wait for the 4g version next month.

Vibrant hands down best phone. I'm running 2.2 on mine and I have a lot of apps. Still have 1.40GB left for apps, 9GB left in phone memory, and 5GB on my memory card. Vibrant is a beast!!

the only thing the vibrant has on the mytouch is the amoled screen. other than that, mytouch wins :) but i can already tell from a minute through this that this guy is biased against the mytouch. he keeps making excuses for the vibrant...haha

@Snowintosh because Samsung does not give support to their products. all they care about is selling units. The galaxy s shipped a gps that doesn't work, it's still stuck at android 2.1 while all the other high end devices are running android 2.2. I strongly advise you not too buy Samsung phones cause you won't have a good experience.

@zaigex google "mytouch 4g China Taiwan". It should be the first link (on XDA). Your best bet, when you buy it, insist that it say "Made in China" on the box, not "Made in Taiwan." If you get the bad screen, though, don't fret. I just got mine replaced (came in the mail today) on the warranty exchange. I'm a T-Mobile employee, so the myTouch in-store exchange doesn't apply to me, but you should have no problem.

To those commenting on the screen: some of the early myTouch 4Gs shipped with an inferior screen due to a quality control issue. It looks like his got the bad one (his FFC is off center, which is a tell-tale sign). The Vibrant's SuperAMOLED screen is still better, but the difference is normally more subtle.

@samsam485 - If you want a phone just for multimedia, videos and music, go with the vibrant, but if you want a phone that works and does what its supposed to do as a smartphone, go with Mytouch 4G.

I have a Vibrant, I thought it was the best thing ever when I got it. but now I'm starting to hate it, the Phone is so buggy. The GPS after the update fix, no longer works, When I'm on a call, and receive another, I can not see who's calling, screen stays black until call goes to voicemail, and so many other bugs.

Google is about to release 2.4 Honeycomb and we have no 2.2 yet. so Samsung and Tmobile really slow on updates. I wish I had waited for Nexus S, at least updates will come out sooner.

all Vibrant needs is an 2.2 update. It has a better CPU/GPU and screen. IMO, once the vibrant get its updates...that would put an end to these debates.

I would just like to say that, I got the mytouch 4g when it came down to it and i don't regret it at all! This phone is amazing and the face chat is a nice feature. from what I've seen the mytouch 4g is currently one of the faster phones out there in computing power and 3d graphics. I would just like to add that there is no denying that the OLED screen is much nicer then the LCD but remember you wont really use your phone as a TV.

dont take it the wrong way, the OLED screen is amazing and i love it but i think for the time being, the OLED screen on a phone doesnt make it better then a phone with better hardware in my opinion.

@ssj04 Lol. I know, it just kind of slipped. I was really just trying to give a feel for how thin the vibrant is. Btw, the G2 is only 3mm thicker  and it has a keyboard. @phonefight I think that if you do a multitouch gesture on the vibrant home screen you would actually have a view of all your homescreens, i say that cause im a captivate user (also a galaxy S) and it works that way :D

@JustifiedTruth I actually meant that only when holding it next to the Vibrant. In my other videos about the MT4G, I usually brag about the thin design. I didn't mean it as a negative to the mytouch. @phonefight you forgot to mention that the mytouch 4g felt substantial in the sense that you feel the phone will last a while. the vibrant just felt plasticky and felt like a toy.
