  • I feel the tab too fast at 140bmp is that really the real speed ?

  • Thanks for tabbing this out on your site, going to try and get a cover up soon, that one string skipping riff is just brutal though

  • i love the sound of ur fucking guitar!

  • I usually don't comment about all those guitar, drum, instrumental covers on youtube BUT,

man, you've done a sick job there with your axe.

    Congrats!

  • /watch?v=6CEnQHaXnSk

  • Mate.

  • This is by far the sickest thing I've seen in month! FANTASTIC!

  • @trytoshred Wanna see something awesomer? This is my buddy, hes 17. Add this to the end of your youtube link -> /watch?v=6CEnQHaXnSk Same song but done better ( in my opinion )

  • @blitzfire5

Just with a better sound. Technically it's the same. 17 is a reasonable age... He is lucky that he has more time standing in front of him to improve his playing.

  • @Autopsium No but... hes 17. I'm saying its awesomer because the quality of the video was better =P

17 to be able to play technical is unheard of, i only see 25 year old no-lifers do that.

  • YOU SHOULD DO A VISCERAL DISGORE GUITAR PRO TAB!!

  • good stuff, epic pedosmile too

  • Best video I have seen in months bro. You have excellent taste in music and play beautifully. I hope to one day be able to play SoP songs. They are so intense. How long did it take you to learn this song and how long have you been playing??

  • Wow-- very impressive

  • sick hands man, great cover!

  • Recover this video doing the same thing ur doing here, but with the bridge pickup. THEN it would b perfect.

  • sick cover man!

  • You are a beast.

I like the tone your getting out of those strings and thick ass pick. Sounds similar to the tone I get......what kind of strings do you use? I'm prone to the Ernie Ball 'Not Even Slinky's' myself. Great strings.

  • I lol'd at :45 when the annotation came up

  • damn a 4 minute and 19 second solo ..

  • Damn bro.... Fucking damnnnnn

  • Nice job man. It's odd that you're using your neck pickup to play death metal, usually I would expect the bridge pickup to be used... sounding good though

  • Awesome job dude. I'm surprised that you're playing on neck pickup. Usually I would expect death metal to be played on the neck, sound's good though.

  • If only it were humanly possible to learn the solo...

  • For the fuck that disliked this, Death Metal will find you.........probably rape you and make you learn this song 250bpm.

  • damn ...

  • realy awesome!!! you guys need to tab your treachery will die with you, by dying fetus!

  • your hand looks so cool and vainy, looks like you just squeezed the life out of a kitten or something

  • what kind of ibanez is your guitar b o.O? ive seen it before but i dont really know the model and what tuning are you using

  • @Peter7beardmaster

FG model (Frank Gambale) it's similar to the S or SA series.

    B tuning

  • Dayum!!! Nice!!!!!!!

  • god damn!

  • This is brutal

    keep fucking going xD

  • watch?v=gs1LRQSHmFk&feature=related

    this cover is fucking nuts

  • nice job man!

  • ah the insanity. amazing cover!!

  • I've seen lots of people playing this song, but you are really solid man!

  • This is in A# not C#.

  • @proguitargamer This is in B.

  • holy fuck great playing dood

  • @TheVymroth it has only accelerates it the video….

  • I would say you made this look easy,... But you really didn't :-P! Heh, awesome job!

  • Perfection!

  • fucking brutal man,great work!

  • What scale is this!?

  • Oh my God :D you are fast :D

  • weirdly i have a harder time with the right hand in the beginning riff. with the tremolo and fast powerchord picking

  • Rivers of Gore is an OK site, but they never update their tabs, they get like maybe 4 uploads in a year I swear

  • motherfuck

  • thats the most brutal sounding neck pickup ever haha

  • BRUTAL

THANKS FOR THE TAB AT THE WEBSITE

    \,,/Priest ov Sodom\,,/ S.I.N.

  • awesome playing! hey can guys in the rog channel cover some gorgasm?

  • Comment removed

  • You're totally crazy man! Long life to your website.

  • So did you make the website? If so, big thanks. It's nice to find tabs to some of the underground and less popular stuff.

  • No i have nothing to do with ROG. I just make some tabs and vids that's all. Phil, Tim and Rino started that ROG thing. All the guys you can see in the other vids on this channel.

    Greetz,

    Rob

  • If your a good economy picker this song is not really that hard to play =)

  • This songs murders my left hand man, the Minor Third Hammer ons everywhere tire me out so much. Can you recommend an excersize to build left hand strength?

  • @waqasalikhanrajput it's not about bein "hard 2 play" man. most people say the best songs are the slow ones. music's subjective anyway.

  • i like your video,at last a guy that plays with the guitar volume higher than the song,in the other videos i couldn't here the player, good work

  • jesus that's good

    unbelievable

  • Dude the was facken FLAWLESS, insane, AWESOME. :o

  • @Ykzier it has only accelerates it the video….

  • Nice.

  • do you like run the riversofgore site? thats helped me alot dude!

  • Dude, AWESOME. A+++

  • whats your favourite tuning to play tech death in? and have you written songs of your own yet? :)

  • Yep watch out for:

    PHOBIATIC

    on myspace.

    Greets,

    Rob

  • I don't really have a favourite tuning...

Not too high not too low so something in between.

    Maybe C#

  • C# is perfect for Death Metal. It's low enough for the heavy rythm but it's high enough to get some crazy awesome solos.

  • @Stygian9 its in B

  • @itshard6 I wasn't talking about the tuning of this song but my favourite Death Metal tuning in general.

  • @Stygian9 it has only accelerates it the video….

  • Very nicely done. :P

    Can't wait for SoP's new album. ^_^

  • isnt chalky from psycroptic well old psycroptic doing vocals and christian muezner playing guitar?

  • AWESOME job.

You played the whole song on the neck pickup? Weird.

  • Thanks.

With the neck pickup it sounds much warmer and cleaner.

So you could say i was cheating a little bit ;-)

  • Hoooooly shit. You're awesome!

  • this cover is so awesome, so hard to play. great job!

  • Spawn of Possession sure do make good use of those minor third trills. Too bad those fag-ass deathcore bands are stealing the technique.

  • Yeah, it's also an older song, from the more straightforward days of SoP (not saying that they actually were straightforward at any point).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but so I recall reading about this particular song.

But yeah, DeathCore bands use the minor third pulloffs etc. mostly to sound more Death Metal-like.

  • Yeah, it's like theft, in my opinion.

  • Well I must say I do enjoy a few, selective DeathCore bands, but all those Devil Wears Prada -crap bands piss me off.

But yeah, I guess I would call it incorporating certain elements. Just like DeathGrind. Except that GrindCore is the best 'Core.

  • Yeah, grindcore is the best 'core'. I was just never into hardcore music in general, and now that those bands are using death metal techniques and blending it together resulting into deathcore, I have turned into a very sad panda.

  • Hahah, well most DeathCore, especially those who constantly overuse the minor third harmonies, pulloffs etc., are crap.

    That's the bottom line.

  • Yeah. Damn, makes me wish I was born in the late 60's, like my parents, so that I could have been there in the mid-eighties as a teen, seeing how thrash metal evolved into death metal.

Instead, I'm born into this modern-day shit that is now spreading deathcore like a new disease :(

  • Some us of are still working n' striving to make new music, which I'm glad about. I'm one of those seekers. It demands a huge load of different influences, but heh that's what I'm all about. :P

  • I'd say it takes more than just minor third pulloffs... I use it alot too, but i wouldn't consider the stuff i write to be deathcore in any way...

  • Agreed, but most DeathCore bands make them sound bland as well as meaningless.

  • Ok dead & grotesque is now available as a pdf file on rivers of gore. Check it out in the tab submission thread. Bryzz himself also gave us a tab for eve of contempt. You can find it in the tab submission thread as well.

  • Dude your fucking awesome this song is so brutal and you nailed it I want more...perhaps a Faceless cover?

  • Nevermind I found bass tabs now lol. I was just looking in the wrong place.

  • Dude, that was awesome Spawn of Possession is an awesme band, I can't find any bass tabs on them though, oh well, nice job 5/5.

  • 00:54 .

    My favorite part.

I wish this tab wasn't GP.

  • I could turn it into a pdf file and send it to ya if you want.

  • If you end up doing this I'd love to get that as well.

  • me too.. XD

  • Just take a look on our homepage in the tab submission thread. There you can find a pdf version for dead and grotesque and much more.

  • great! finally somebody plays hard songs following the time...

  • hello to the Rivers of Gore! by the page do you also have a band? If so it should be crazy while listening & play so insane stuff I`ve found on ya page! Pls post some your songs!

  • i think i found my teacher

  • good lord, good work 5*

  • Holy shit! you are great man, 5 stars, you rule

  • how do you tune so low with a floating bridge? do you use heavier strings so theres more tension?

  • I have problems with tuning low on a floating bridge too. Someone please help!

  • the only way you can do it is with a heavier string guage. try using 10-52 or even a 7 string set.

  • Heheh, I know that. The thing is though, the bridge keeps rising WAY too high n shit when I change strings. I now know that I have to reset the neck when I change from light to heavy gauge.

    Thanks for replying anyways.

  • lol the catch is you cant tune to standard when you get heavy strings because it will raise the bridge. when i had light top heavy bottom strings on my jackson DK2M i couldnt tune any higher than C. the best way to tune low is just simply use a guitar with a standard bridge i guess.

  • you have to adjust the springs on the back of the guitar. tighten them if the back of your bridge is rising up, loosen them if your back is sinking in. it's all about the right balance of tension!

  • Äh i just bought heavier strings ;-D

    I think it's a set of 56 gauge strings.

  • what guitar is that, ibanez?

  • ibanez FG 300 serie

  • fantastic playing. your picking and fretting positions remind me of muhammed suicmez's style a lot, too

  • I can make it to about the 1 minute mark then my left hand pretty much fails entirely & I need a break to relax my fingers & curse to myself. it's depressing seeing you make it through this so easily without crying like a girl from the finger pain!

seriously amazing stamina you got there.

  • u probably use your forearm more than ur wrist just use wrist

  • I use my forearm to move my fingers instead of my wrist? what drugs are you on? =P

  • You're sure speaking about your pinky finger right ;-)

Just keep on practising and make your own licks to train your fingers.

Rusty Cooley have some very good lessons to speed up your fingers.

Maybe you can found some here on youtube.

    Cheers,

    Rob

  • thanks for the advice lord rob ;)

i noticed you play the 7-3-6-3-6-3 parts with 3 fingers too, I was just using my pinky & index no wonder the poor little guy was getting tired!

keep shredding bro, you're very inspiring!

  • RiversofGore, that was the most impressive rendition of any Spawn of Possession song I have ever seen. You are an incredible guitar player...just incredible.

I am going to try to learn this one on bass to shoot a youtube vid of my own (if I can do it). If you do not mind, I think I'm going to use this vid as a guide.

  • Sure can't wait to see yours.

The official tab can be found on our riversofgore homepage.

    Thanks & Cheers,

    Rob

  • this is my favorite cover from u dude, realy liked it a lot xD

  • i kinda got it down all the way till the 2 minute mark with the... uh... pinch harmonics or whatever... im learning this on an acoustic :( lol

  • I'm learning this song... I can get everything right except for that bit starting at :47 and the "Grotesque" part... those two parts get me.

  • yo bro, the web doest work?

  • what the..

  • Fucking awesome cover btw, very very clean.

  • Shiet. learning this song now...its technical - not SoP's most technical, but it requires a hell of a lot of stamina. And I thought playing The Aftermath - Origin was a workout lol.

  • Awesome cover, really! I love spawn of possession! Congratulations! :)

  • Thank you guys ;-)

  • Awesome song!

And you're really great at guitar, man! One of the best death metal guitarists here on Youtube! :D

    5/5

  • One of my favorite songs off Noctambulant, excellent job! Really makes me want to pick up guitar until I realize I wouldn't be able to play something like this without 10 years of experience..

Speaking of which, how long you been playing? haha

  • Hey Ziel ahah.

  • haha

  • 19/20 years. So don't give up haha ;-D

  • It only took me a year or so of playing to start picking up Necrophagist songs, but Necrophagist is far easier than this.

  • Indeed SOP is the most technical death metal band i know.

  • I don't play guitar, but I would really like to learn. Except the only person I know who plays guitar can't teach..at all lol.

I've been playing drums for a couple years, but wouldn't mind learning a bit of guitar.

  • Karl?

  • EXCELLENT!! 5 starts, definately.

    Great job man.

  • currently learning this shit myself. with the rog tab. hard as fuck! but very fun to play.

  • There is a tab?

  • great to finally see a SoP cover where the track inst louder than the guitar!! amazing skills man. i can appreciate the technicality of their music way more when i see your hands flying up and down the neck

  • Man, for a skilled guitar player that's pretty crazy. For a n00blet like me who's hasn't been playing for a year and is still playing Pig Destroyer songs, it's like watching Jesus be born.

  • ;-) thank you guys.

This is an ibanez FG model 300.

  • fucking sick of course...what guitar is that?

  • Ibanez

  • teach me?

  • amazing skills

  • Woah! You make it look easy. =)

  • Nice.

  • Ups... seems that i delete tims comment.

Wanted to ask him what's the meaning of to tingle is???

    Ah what else... thanks guys

  • what amp and effects/noisegates do you use?

  • I'm just using a POD II combined with a normal amplifier of a hifi system.

For the amp model i chose the "modern hi-gain" setting.

  • thanx rob :D

  • oh fuck, and Bryzz said that it is one of their easiest :D

  • Really??? Oh shit.

What the hell is their hardest song i wonder?

  • Dude, probably Scorched, that one is pretty fucking technical.

  • I think Render my prey, but that is just my opinion

  • Fu**ck yeah !

    amazing man

  • holy shit how is that humanly possible, RoG= GUITAR GODS, yo do u guys like Blotted Science

  • amazing......fucking sick.... :)

  • excelentman!!!

  • Hail RoG... this one takes lots and lots of stamina to play through.. nice job
