This was originally done in 1966 and made the top 10 in England and the USA. Los Bravos is the original 1966 band for this song. Del Shannon did a good version of it in his concerts in the 1980s.

Redbirdgirl88: I am so thankful I grew up in the '60s...music was fresh, innovative, and there was so much going on in this country...so many changes....I recall our local rock radio station would print out a Top 40 list every week. It was a veritable who's who of all the great musicians of the time. If you took just one of the songs on the list and played it today as if it were new it would fly to #1. I agree 90's music was crap and this decade hasn't done much better.

Never knew the dude was German. Seen some good concerts in Germany. For some reason, we were always able to get pretty close to the front. Maybe that's the way the Deutchers are. When this song came out, my 7th grade Spanish teacher played this song for us in the language lab.

Not too long ago I saw Los Bravos on German Tv and they sang this NR. again,

Live! And This singer has a fantastic voice,he can STILL sing exactly as he did here n the video! I think that's amazing!

There's a real story about these boys, they where here in Antwerp in the sixties, they heard the song playing out of the Juke-box (of my godfathers cafe" Sportif at the statiestraat) and they came in and gave a life show the whole day & night and danced flamenco with my mum.You can image how quickly my godfathers cafe was full with people, nice and very friendly boys:The Los Bravos!
