  • nice ribbon bracket.

  • I got a question, In the Australian Army When Our officers Etc get there commissions its from the queen.

Whats the basis of the American Commission? Is it from the president or what?

    Cheers

  • From the President of the United States.

  • Yeah i figured. Interesting to know thanks mate.

  • wrong, its from congress

  • The authority vested in the President by Section 624(c) of Title 10 of the United States Code, to appoint officers in the grades of lieutenant and captain in the Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps or in the grades of lieutenant (junior grade) and lieutenant in the Navy.

If you have something to the contrary I would love to read it. But make sure you know what you are talking about, or do some research before trying to correct someone.

  • A bunch of our cadets here at NAU are about to be commissioned by the president at ASU, along with other ASU and UofA cadets. Pretty exciting.
