i loved watching Larry (Basketball) Bird in my opionion he was Thee Greatest Ever to play the game bar no player - no 1 in history other then Gretsky could pull of the plays he did and who in history would you want on the foul line when it mattered not 2 mention his passing game and his behind the back assists he could do it All.
The Pacers played the Lakers for the NBA championship in 2000. Larry Bird was the Pacers coach and he screwed us, the Pacers, by playing his buddy Chris Mullin over Jalen Rose. Mullin was a good player in his day with Golden State, but he was an old, washed up player with the Pacers. All Mullin did was get beat defensively and brick three pointers. Jalen was in his prime and could have helped slow down Kobe. Shame on you Bird!!!
Larry had a run from 1979 - 1986 that may never be matched again. His all-around game was amazing - passing, scoring, rebounding, foul shooting and just extremely high bball IQ. You see players that are great scorers or passers or maybe both but not like Larry. Lebron's all - around game is outstanding but he will never be the clutch shooter Bird was. Bird's strength was the 4th quarter, just when Lebron disappears in big games!
Some guy on here said that Larry was a scorer mainly. Are you serious? Larry averaged 7 or 8 rebounds and 8 assists for his career! The greates small forward of all time. Top three player all time as well. I have it Jordan, than Bird, than Magic. With either one, you have something special.
young people watch video like this pleaseeeee so u can understand who r the real greatest...i really dont like when theres people putting kobe infront magic johnson and larry bird ohhhh and even theres people questionin who is better jordan or kobe lol hahaha jordan was better than magic and bird and to me kobe havent even past those 2 yet to go all da way to jordan...come on man lets be real man...jordan...magic and bird the top 3 of all time period
Larry Bird Is The greatest White Basketball player...Michael Jordan is The Greatest Black player...Two different races with two different sets of genetics...both used theirs to the maximum potential.
i'm a Lakers fan, have been my whole life...but being an L.A. native, i've always got sentiment for other L.A. natives...two Celtic legends in DJ along with the TRUTH are both L.A. natives...
Actually no.... they would tackle Bird much like they did with Jordan and Magic. Watch Bird's release point, no one stopped Bird. If he was going to make it, he was going to make it. Great D made him a better player and he was always a willing passer. Watch the highlights.
Yeah, I have this game on DVD, great game, absolutely great game all-around, and, Larry Bird was simply lights out as well, of course, obviously, LOL. Thanks for posting this for us to see and/or watch..!!
it was a different era.And look at all the tough shots he was makin. All WIlt was doing was backing them down and laying it up.Nobody could guard WIlt back then they were too small
Wilt was great no doubt about it. Russ had a hard time so you know Wilt was the greatest. The best thing you could do? FOUL HIM!! Wilt found it easier hitting the lottery than hitting a free throw. LoL
He was a great player who I had the honor of meeting and speaking with for about 10 minutes when I was just a kid. R.I.P. Wilt
That 28/32 was in a regular season game. That was a fluke. His free throww shooting % sucked in regular season games and was worse in playoff games Free throw shooting was his only weakness. Great scorer, rebounder, passer but terrible at shooting free throws. Still a great player and gentleman. R.I.P. Mr Chamberlain.
WILT MAKING 28/32 NOT A FLUKE???Clang! Doink! Boing! Rat-a-tat-tat!
WILT AND SHAQ FREE THROW SHOOTING...It's been an amazing career for Shaquille O'Neal in most respects, but hanging over it is the specter of his greatest weakness -- free-throw shooting. The Big Brick has made only 52.5 percent of his career attempts, the second-worst percentage among those who have attempted 5,000 free throws or more, and rivaling Wilt Chamberlain (51.1 percent) for the cellar.

@hooperqi LeBron can't give you 4 quarters for a dollar during the NBA finals because he doesn't have a fourth quarter.
