The Lanber 2097 Sporter is a good gun for Sporting Clays but probably not the best if you wish to shoot Trap. If you plan on shooting a variety of different disciplines you would be best to consider a gun that has chokes, and an adjustable comb which would allow you to alter the fit according to the discipline you are shooting.
what would be your advice on a lanber 2097 sporter in a walnut? is this rifle worth a look in or should i keep saving? so far I have tried trap but would like to try all disciplines and maybe be an alrounder. Thank you for your help.
Hi guys, great clip, I am starting out and going to join the warwick clay target club Qld this year, what entry level gun do you recomend on a budget? thanks
Hello, We are pleased to hear that you have an interest in getting further involved in our wonderful sport. The Beretta Silver Pigeon's are a great starting gun. Which model you get is very dependent on the Clay Target Shooting discipline you wish to do the most. If you want to do a little of all disciplines then the 'Sporting' model is the best. I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance let me know.
Lauryn has been my coach for about 6 months now and i have improved so much, i am now hitting about 24 out 25 which is a massive improvement from about 18 or 19, i think that she is THE best coach in melbourne or even Australia
You should drop in sometime. We hold Come and Try Clay Target Shooting events every 6-8 weeks with the next one scheduled for December 5th. As long as you are older than 12 then these event have been devised to give people an opportunity to try Clay Target Shooting. Call 1 300 Shooting for more info.
I go past Russel Marks clay shooting venue every day on my school bus in werribee, I really want to try clay shooting. I once went there for a function and thought it was awesome
great to see a positive vid about clay shooting, but remember that there are different forms of it out there too! ISSF Trap, DTL Trap, Skeet, ISSF Skeet, Sporting, Ball Trap, just to name a few!
It is a disease that will ruin your pocket, would make ur wife divorse u (unless u get her started in it as well), would make u drive everywhere to enter comps thus spend all your free holidays on it (not to add all the sickies u will use up), u will meet other more sick deseased people (great blokes)which will help u deeper into it.
and, the more people that enter this sport, the longer the line of squads that i will have to wait before my turn to shoot;)
Thanks heaps for the advice, you have been very helpfull cheers,
thomo
