Oh now I understand why the planet is called pandora.. according to the greek mythology, pandora opens a box which should not have been opened, and all of the bad things come out... the last thing in the box was hope..

because of mankind's cruelty and civilization, earth slowly died out the only hope for humans now is the planet in ACA which is called pandora..

humans curiousity led to the destruction of many things however there is still hope which is why the planet is called pandora

don,t know who said this about why theyre skin colors are odd but trees are still green.. uh.. obviously- they said the atmosphere is toxic, and usually creatures who can live in toxic or is toxic have bright neon-ish colors. some frogs for example.

i don't agree, i think it's first and foremost a good movie, the story and the acting and all that makes for a really good movie regardless of if you're seeing it in 3d or 2d. But surely i prefer the 3d version

THis science fiction world actually isnt as the earths prehistoric dinosaur crectacious period. The species that inhabited the earth back then were bigger and so were the plants. A lot of this movie appears to be inspired by that

In fact, it is not a Science Fiction! It is (not bad) a fantasy fairy-tale for adults, althought with space and planets and extraterrestrial things. Enjoy!

P/S: "Alien" from 1979 was sci-fi, not beaten until today by any other scifi movie... A CLASSIC
