I've played VF since the very beginning, simple pure fighting, and no silly powers.

tekken and doa also has monks all 3 games almost have all martial artists styles and traditions

VF5 is a beautiful game. its so fluid and the fighting styles are well crafted to the individual characters. sure you cant call down a friend and connect a 100 hit GOD combo, but well....even that can get boring. VF5= Pure fighting game bliss.

Oh my God people, get a life! Virtua Fighter is a "simulation" fighting game. No fireballs, no supercombos, no 10-hitters, no super kamakaze kahmehameha waves here. Just pure fighting.

the real problem with vf is that no one plays it...fighting games are made to be played in multiplayer...im sure that if more people were to play the game, the game would be better regardless of gameplay...theres nothing more satisfying than beating the crap out of your friend in a fighting game then him taking revenge on your ass whether it be vf, tekken, sc or even ssbm

I agree totally Tamplet. Takes a lot more skill and definetly patience to play VF. A real thinking mans fighter. Too bad I suck at it. LOL.

It's more technical, u need to think a lot more when u play a vf than when u play a tekken or a doa. No dirty tricks, no super dammage hits, u must think for each move to make it efficient and create ur own combos. That's what appeals me in vf. Tho character design use to suck, vf5's is great.

virtua fighter never appealed to me because the characters are really dull and there are no effects when a hit is made, making it look really boring.
