Great look at some stunning visions. If these guys were around today -- they'd be running around with 5d Mark 2's -- complaining about aliasing.
I assume you've been following the Sony FS100 drama. I may buy one, but I know if I do the 5D Mark 3 will be announced a week later. The leaks (not rumors) on Digic 5 say it'll have the lowest noise on Earth -- and that kicks the whole FS100 thing in the crotch.
@drewnetwork The FS100 looks like a nice piece of kit. However, to me it still takes something like the F35 to make me part with the EX1R. The F35 is of course much more expensive and out of my league. The FS100 wins over the VDSLRs with its true video mode / features but the photographic lenses that one would use still gives it some limitations. Doug Jensen noted that the FS100 doesn't have built-in ND filters and that he had to use a variable ND filter in front of the lens.
@RicoBergholdtHansen Using a variable ND filter is OK (and I do it myself) but it is a bit of a pain when you want to use 4x6 ND grad filters too in front of the lens. It's doable (and I know because I do that too :) but the Variable ND filters makes it a bit tricky - So, I would prefer built-in ND filters.
Beautiful video, thank you very much. Who wrote the music?
