I love how they don't have any big rockstars attitude. They seem just like 5 friends that joined together to tear apart some places with their amazing music.
It annoys me that a minority of people are giving this album a poor review for being a return to the previous styles of Casually Dressed or even the earlier stuff. This song, at the very least, is a testament of band who have matured in musical style as well as vocal content. As always they've stayed true to themselves and their roots, fair enough, but it's not a compromise.
Linkin Park, are you watching this. Funeral started out quite heavy and screamo and then tried some different stuff with later albums. This is going back full throttle to what people fell in love with. Less of this thousand suns bullshit, we want more points of authority, don't stay and hit the floor.

@jahkoz As for being under rated, hardly. Unless you mean they deserve to be playing Arenas or something. But if you look at their peers, they have enjoyed relative success. They've played theater sized headline shows up until recently when their fanbase seemed to take a bit of a hit. They've played high up on big festivals like Reading for the last decade.
As for hard working, i'm sure there's alot of pennyless bands out their toiling for the sake of their art that would disagree.
@Hunsfun I am not dissagreeing with your statements that they have shared their rations of playing large venues and great label exposure you are correct about that. I just wish they were getting as much exposure as crappy bands today that 16 yr old girls make big like Attack Attack and Bring Me The Horizon who are popular now and incredibly untalented. There are lots of Hard Working bands out there. But FFAF were one of the first for this generation and have paved the way for everybody else
@jahkoz Well it's a new generation now. We can glare at the Kerrang kids nowadays jumping on the MCR/BMTH wagon.. i think it's hypocritcal ( i am too guilty of this reasoning ) as back in the day, we probably did the same thing with bands like FFAF.
In some respects i think FFAF are where they need and deserve to be. They've got a strong back catologue and have a large enough, mature audience that aren't in it for the a fashion statement.
When kids grow up, BMTH etc will falter much more.

Welcome Home Armageddon is the best FFAF album. All the songs are amazingly written and the instrumental is just top notch like never before. Trully amazing album
I've grew up listening to FFAF since I was 13 (I'm now 20) and I have always supported them. I've seen them live 5 times and bought all their albums. However, I believe this album is very average. Their past 2 Albums (Tales DTS and M & H have also been imo).
The point i'm making is that even though they have produced average albums, there has always been one REALLY good song on each. Into Oblivion, Wrench and Waterfront DC all come to mind. However, I can't pick a single one from this album.

@ZellofGladz I'm not portraying myself as a huge fan at all. I'm just basically saying that I am disappointed with the way the songs have turned out. Serpents in Solitude was also an excellent track and there is nothing on this album that mimics how good that recent track was. Once I heared that track, I was expecting alot more to come but they didn't follow up. I'll guess I will still have to wait for the album that brings them back to their peak.

@jahkoz As for being under rated, hardly. Unless you mean they deserve to be playing Arenas or something. But if you look at their peers, they have enjoyed relative success. They've played theater sized headline shows up until recently when their fanbase seemed to take a bit of a hit. They've played high up on big festivals like Reading for the last decade.
As for hard working, i'm sure there's alot of pennyless bands out their toiling for the sake of their art that would disagree.

@Hunsfun I am not dissagreeing with your statements that they have shared their rations of playing large venues and great label exposure you are correct about that. I just wish they were getting as much exposure as crappy bands today that 16 yr old girls make big like Attack Attack and Bring Me The Horizon who are popular now and incredibly untalented. There are lots of Hard Working bands out there. But FFAF were one of the first for this generation and have paved the way for everybody else

@jahkoz Well it's a new generation now. We can glare at the Kerrang kids nowadays jumping on the MCR/BMTH wagon.. i think it's hypocritcal ( i am too guilty of this reasoning ) as back in the day, we probably did the same thing with bands like FFAF.
In some respects i think FFAF are where they need and deserve to be. They've got a strong back catologue and have a large enough, mature audience that aren't in it for the a fashion statement.
When kids grow up, BMTH etc will falter much more.

Welcome Home Armageddon is the best FFAF album. All the songs are amazingly written and the instrumental is just top notch like never before. Trully amazing album

I've grew up listening to FFAF since I was 13 (I'm now 20) and I have always supported them. I've seen them live 5 times and bought all their albums. However, I believe this album is very average. Their past 2 Albums (Tales DTS and M & H have also been imo).
The point i'm making is that even though they have produced average albums, there has always been one REALLY good song on each. Into Oblivion, Wrench and Waterfront DC all come to mind. However, I can't pick a single one from this album.

@ZellofGladz I'm not portraying myself as a huge fan at all. I'm just basically saying that I am disappointed with the way the songs have turned out. Serpents in Solitude was also an excellent track and there is nothing on this album that mimics how good that recent track was. Once I heared that track, I was expecting alot more to come but they didn't follow up. I'll guess I will still have to wait for the album that brings them back to their peak.

In Australia they've never had a major mainstream following, to my knowledge, but heaps of fans of post hardcore/rock music know of them and love them. I think they're a great band, they're bloody awesome :D
