i got it .... but it wont work properly.... it works for telling me the altitude but not the exact location..... as the person in the video moved the iphone left to right.... the signals moved according to their position..... but for me.... the signals moved with the phone and stayed in one location.....

Both but with the 3G, you can't move it laterally and you need to enter a reference point, such as a manual compass bearing or an existing satellite position which you know the direction of.

I can't wait to buy this app. I will be updating from a iPhone 3G to the needed 3GS just to use this! I have a sizable dish farm in Sydney Australia in a rural setting with lots of trees. Finding a clear path to some of the far western satellites (avoiding trees) has been a problem for me. This will make site selection on the property so simple!
