Here in Australia they fine the slaves $50 if they refuse to tick a box that doesn't matter!
Then in law (the 4 corners rule states) anything on a document that is in a box is separate to the document and thus dos not apply to the document?
So if you vote its o.k But if you don't vote you pay $50. Of course you cant vote because of the 4 corners rule so you failed to vote but we wont charge you because you didn't.
@braswellwin Yea I agree with you because for one he is rarely almost never in the media and that says it right there that he is so legit and he really believes in the people that we dont want him in the media.
If we'd remove the government, the elite that owns the weapons and the means of production (the strong ones) would want to impose their rules again, to keep their privileges and power. But to avoid exposing themselves to the public, they'd have to form a government again, so politicians would be their visible faces. So it's always the strong ruling the weak; in nature and in society. Sometimes I even wonder why don't we live in a monarchy. It would be less hypocritical than our pseudodemocracy.
Not voting is a ridicules solution... What would it say if everyone stayed home you ask? It would say we are happy with how things are.
It is important to recognize how futile and fucked up electoral politics are. I completely agree with you Stephan. But simply "not voting" is a non solution.
The silliness starts with the fact the laborers have to endebt themselves before they are allowed to use money to trade the fruits of their labor.
We are forced to endebt ourselves because the government borrows money that is to be payed back by means of taxes.
There is a tried and tested alternative: not the gold standard but government-issued debt-free money. Among historic examples are the "Colonial Scrip" and the "Tally Stick". See the docu "The secret of Oz".
Bill Mayer's a media whore who lies to further his career. He's a jerk. Typical of US TV, lots of blow-hards, talking over each other to be the biggest "liberal". What's with the accent? Aren't you a bit old to be fawning a local accent?
Anyway, thanks. You have kind of explained my own disinterest in politics (helping me understand it better myself at least) in a way more thoroughly than I have ever articulated, even internally. I think part of the reason is I never much cared too... being disinterested and all....
Yeah, I'm surprised you did not mention how the two party system serves to put the people at odds with one another, splitting them right down the middle. I agree it is a distraction, there to make people complacent; it's a little debate game not unlike organized sports where the absolute brainless can still feel a sense of involvement rooting for their favorite team... er, that is political party.
i agree with this video, its a joke. though i dont think we should stay home i think we should vote for the green party or the constitutionalist party or another third party
TRY TO CHECK OUT A BOOK WRITTEN BY HECTOR ABAD FACIOLINCE, WHERE HE PUTS IT INTO CONTEXT AN ELECTION WHERE NOBODY WENT TO VOTING. SO THE GOVERNMENT CHARGED EVERYBODY WITH BETRAYAL TO THE STATE AND MANDATED EVERYBODY TO GO TO JAIL...ITS FUN MAGICAL REALISM.
I'm quite hurt by this sort of emptiness towards fellow man, the way i feel is this, if we have the capability to sustain life comfortably or not, through a volunteer service, we should try, i'm willing, but before any beauty shows up, we have to accept our own ugliness, his speech about freedom being humility is absolutely life changing,

I just figured out why you don't get more views than you do. Because you are just to damned smart, and the average American has their head up their ass! Maybe if you dumb it down a little. lol No, but seriously look at what gets the most views and comments. Celebrity B.S. and Fred.
Such an excellent indictment of all that I hold in contempt with this bitter corporate slop we're sloshing around in !
Is there really a philosophy that could REALLY change the world we live in , or is it only effective enough to let us be fully informed of a situation that we can never do anything about , except to have a fuller understanding as to the degree that we are fucked ?

What about the quantum nature of reality? What if your mind does have an influence empirically on reality? Brains emit magnetic fields, so they CAN alter the behavior of atoms. I believe in moments of distress and duress the mind can amp its energies and have a significant outcome on events, such as, when Andrew Jackson killed the bank and the day after he was almost killed, but the killer hurt himself instead when the guns backfired upon him, leaving Jackson unscathed.

LOL we got our money back. Just like GM paid their loan back in fool, or is it full.
TARPS 787 billion does NOT include future obligations or subsidies. The REAL cost of tarp is somewhere between 4-20 TRILLION no one knows just yet. Just like our REAL national debt USA (excluding unfunded liabilities) is 19.5 TRILLION. Business as usual...manipulated figures to brainwash the public.
@Nighthawk81100.I meant the Irish public in general you fucking clown. All politicians are not corrupt just most of them. To demonstrate how utterly brainwashed the general public are just look at the last Lisbon vote: the government told the public that if they didnt vote yes the we would not create any new jobs and our economy would be screwed. What did the people do?They listened to the same bunch of liars that have lied to them repeatedly.Stick that up your Hole.
The chart is misleading. While it shows spending decreases under Democrat Presidents, it fails to account for Congress. There was a Republican Congress under Clinton and a Democrat controlled Congress under Reagan. The Dems spent and spent under Reagan and the Republicans denied spending under Clinton. So it is exactly the opposite. The politicians are still the problem.
She was never given the chance to answer the question. Bill couldn't shut up for a second, Markos was his little puppet, and the imbecile in the middle was a little "me, too" sycophant.
So the only way to protest, the system, is by not voting,
while any vote, even for Rhinoceros, or "none of the above", or even spoiling a ballot is actually consented agreement for the continuation of this current system.
How many times have you heard, "it doesn't matter who you vote for as long as you vote", before?
If you have less say, after you vote, then why vote?
@rongrite tax revolts, as mentioned by others would be an effective strategem, not voting however, will not only change nothing, but will make government bigger and worse. Vote for smaller government, or run for office openly AS AN ANARCHIST. Put it out there in everyone's face as an option. Waiting around for the collapse is a WASTE of time as, after the collapse, uninformed people will merely create a new government.
Stop Paying Taxes!...there is a way to do it....do the research. Step out of the system by studying all the many alternatives.....do the research....
~Media is paid off...govt. officials are paid off...public employees are paid off....cops need to make money...so the silly tickets they issue...on and on and on....
@Nighthawk81100 .Irish people are corrupt ,thats why our politicians are thiefs. How else do you explain why Barry Andrews, Simon Coveney , Brian Linehan get elected ?The people voted them in because their fathers were politicians. Fucking Pathetic.
Doesnt mean we are all corrupt. Im not and lots of my friends arent. Irish people are retarded as a whole as you say they vote in dynasties who've done fuck all only screw the people or Ireland over and over and over. Irish people deserve it coz they are slow. Personal Sovereignty established by oneself and shown as an example for others to follow can get us out of this hole.
Bring on Lisbon 3 and we'll see how thick we can be.
@antoconno .I never said eveyone was corrupt but you have to look at the majority of voters and who they elect. Its not as if they don't know the people they elect are crooked. "Bring on Lisbon 3" why what the hell are the public going to do? I'll tell you: they will do what their political slave masters tell them to do, which is vote yes.Another Lisbon vote is pointless, now voting in The X-Factor thats a very important issue for Irish people lol.
Im hearing you pal. But we're slowly but surely waking up. If theres a Lisbon 3 vote I dont reckon it'll pass. Too many people realised they were hoodwinked.
@Nighthawk81100 politicians are the PR men for the gangsters, not the gangster's themselves. Not all politicians are such animals either. There are a growing number of libertarians who are fighting for smaller government and any such move is brings us closer to no government. Vote small.
...here's what we do. We bring down the Media...Everyone go out, and watch a movie, then comming out of the cinema, with a loud speaker, tell everyone just about to go into the movie that you have just seen. Tell them in great detail, the beginning, middle and end...Then run...Do this enough times, let it go viral. That'd work...
There are so many people working one way or another for government that it is impossible to out vote them. When everyone is in the wagon who is going to pull it? Democracy is one of the worst forms of government. It is a form of slavery where 51% of the voters or the masters and 49% are the slaves. I want the mostly anarchical constitutional form of government back. Let's at least try it and see how it works. It may not be perfect but it has to be better than what we have.
I actually think popular democracy is a less-bad form of govt than representational democracy. I'm from California and, while the citizenry lean heavily "left", they typically do a better job than the legislature when given the chance through the referendum process--which isn't saying a WHOLE lot, but the non-political class seems to be less prone to corruption and more prone to commonsense than politicians.
Per the Calif constitution it takes a 2/3 majority to pass tax increases. The politician assholes sometimes try to get around this by calling tax-increases "fees", but I shudder to think how much higher taxes would be if it only took a simple majority--which the politicians are currently trying to change. Oddly, our state constitution can be altered by 50.1% popular referendum vote. If this 2/3 threshhold were applied to ALL forms of legislation things would be better too.
Regardless of those elected it is the duty of the citizen to alter the course through activism. Your discourse has a high ring to it and I detect the depth of your apathy in many Canadian citizens. I bow to no Queen but I will gladly shake your hand,
All of your words ring so true to me, thank you! My other half and I neglected to register to vote this year nor will we be having anything to do with the charade. Your video confirmed our choice. Enlightening wisdom.
@stefbot You're English, so I understand why you don't get the Tea Partier's answer. Tea Partier's are concerned about debt, yes, however, we are also devoted to the Constitution. Since one of the enumerated powers the constitution stipulates is to provide a defense, the Fed Gov then must be able to spend for that purpose. Granted, I don't believe it should be free from cuts, but since entitlements (SS, medicare...) is not constitutional it should be cut even before looking to cut from def
I really enjoy all of your videos and share most of them on my facebook ect. One thing that gets to me a little is that you come across as being a little arrogant sometimes. This may give people an excuse to discredit your information if they are already sceptical about the subjects that you deal with.
excellent video. please make another one of these next time the UK elections come round, I'll post it on facebook and be laughed at but hopefully will get to at least one person.
One of the key problems to moving to a truly free society is getting back control of money. One of the key problems in getting back money is pricing energy in that new money. The problem with that is that the ruling class own the energy reserves of the world. Bitcoin is a great example of a system of money that would free us from government and bankers. . .but if oil producing nations won't sell oil for bitcoins, it'll never takeoff I fear.
If nobody voted, all it would take would be one jerk to vote for someone. I'll be voting for the lesser of two evils, because it's still the lesser of two evils, unfortunately.
@ggadguy If nobody voted and nobody had faith in the political system, what would it matter if one person voted for another? They could pass all the laws they want and nobody would listen. Getting someone elected doesn't magically give them power. They must also have a certain portion of the population willing to do the dirty work. Otherwise, you just have some idiot with no power calling himself president.
@esalian9 That's pure fantasy and you know it. We'll never be rid of government if we don't engage people and that will mean getting involved in government openly as anarchists -running on the platform of shutting government down. What we need is an anarchist party. No, it's not an oxymoron.
The idea of an "Anarchist Party" IS an oxymoron. The Libertarian Party--despite being populated by intelligent and honest people--shows how futile attempts to reform the system from the inside are. As this vid suggests, NO ONE is going to voluntarily give up their "freebies"--they want the "other guy" to give up his. The very NOTION of getting rid of social security/medicare/military is rejected out-of-hand--despite the overwhelming evidence that they're unsustainable.
@ashane77 We disagree about the effectiveness of a party to change government, however I think it's obvious that if such a party were formed it would help to educate people about anarchism whether or not it succeeded in getting anyone elected. Furthermore, many individual politicians (regardless of their party) have done a good job of voting their conscience and are working toward a smaller government, so I think the video here is clearly a generalization.
The tea party was a bunch of good libertarian socialists for a few months until the media started reporting on the crazy infiltrators of that party. The tea party was destroyed quickly and in the same way that the green movement was infiltrated and destroyed in that any good movement that happens is soon put to good use by the propaganda lords. We need our own new rulers, real farm people sharing with each other in and across all communities.
@aghoranathi I'm totally with you on the denouncing of the evil state, but what do you mean by "Rockefeller controlled?". What exactly is David Rockefeller controlling, is he controlling some politicians or all including all employees? can you name a few that are actually being controlled? how are these politicians being controlled and what evidence do you have for that? I just would like to understand since many people seem to make this same claim that I don't understand. sorry for my bad engli
@tetraedronico Control is maintained because the ruling class are the OWNERS of much of the stock of the major corporations of the globe. Rockefellers are the owners of much of the stock of big oil. Oil runs the global economy. All governments are servants to the hand that feeds them.
@ostralopithicus so you say that the government vows to whatever rockefeller says because he's the master who owns all oil companies? is that what you say? the biggest badass government in the history of the world is afraid of this man? I totally fail to connect these dots. sorry.
@tetraedronico you're overstating what I'm saying. It's not monolithic, sure there are other opinions and other agendas. Government however is a group of people that work to overcome their differences in order to take advantage of the resources they control. Rockefeller is not 'one man' the family controls many institutions in the same manner as the owner of your corner shop controls what he keeps on his shelves. These many institutions work to put many people into political power.
@ostralopithicus - Certainly having so much wealth would bring someone a proportional level of influence and command over their property, that's what ownership is all about, but that as opposed to control the government for evil purposes is an outstanding claim that requires outstanding evidence. Blaming Rockefeller for the evils that the state does with non existing evidence is totally the wrong approach for social justice and is very irresponsible, it just points the finger to the wrong people
@tetraedronico , You're again overstating my position. I'm not blaming the Rockefeller family, I'm blaming the system first, and the ruling class second - which includes the Rockefeller family. Although, I'd say it's a close second as the ruling class has adjusted the system severely to favor their own & has regulated a glass ceiling over the heads of the masses in order to maintain their monopoly position. The Rockefellers have been key in this. Study the history of the corporation & schooling
@tetraedronico There is plenty of evidence for the influence of the Rockefeller family in government, however giving it all here is nie impossible -posting links isn't allowed & the format is too limited. As to evil/good, these terms are subjective. Do you find planned parenthood evil? Some do (I do) - it's a racist and eugenicist program. look into who is behind it and why. Is the public schooling system evil? What was the original intent? Rockefeller's were instrumental in it's creation.
@ostralopithicus The idea of public education has been around since the ancient Greeks (Plato's republic?), but assuming all you say about Rockefeller is true, can you tell me why do you focus so much on him? What do you think people should do about the influence Rockefeller has in the government. Tell me why should regular people like me care about Rockefeller at all, since his influence in government seem something that is totally out of anyone's control. I'm anarchist btw, already reject...
@tetraedronico The history of public education as it has developed since the late 19th century through the 20th century is much more malignant than the public education prior. Have a look into John Taylor Gatto's research on the matter (to name but one source). Why focus on the Rockefeller family (not merely John D.)? It's not a focus per se, when referring to the problems of government one must oft refer to the ruling class & this oft requires examples. The Rockefeller family is a good one.
Many of these powerful families/people control tax-exempt orgs/charities (they manipulated the tax-code to their own advantage) which lobby and manipulate public policy w/their monies/influence. And, it only takes 51% majority ownership to effect control of these entities. Many environmental advocate groups are mere extensions of corporations. Effectively, corporations (themajority owners) are engaging in govt-subsidized lobbying, though technically they're apolitical.
@ashane77 these elitists group certainly exercise some level of influence over the policies carried out by the government, but this doesn't mean that once the influence of these groups is eliminated that the government will become a benevolent entity. The state is founded on the monopoly and the initiation of force, that can't last forever, a new world order must emerge where voluntary arrangements must replace the initiation of violence and coercion.
It isn't a straight-forward command from the Rockerfellers of the world saying "Do this, do that, or else"...its FAR more subtle and hidden than that.
There are "clubs" (CFR, elite universities like Yale/Harvard/Princeton, and "think tanks" are some examples) where people are recruited/trained/groomed for executive roles in various agencies (private and public).
Its , more-or-less, a closed system which works to place only the "right" kind of people in power.
@tetraedronico Read a timeline of the Rothschild Family, they have a dynasty, they and their cousins the Rockefellers control all the banks and use the zionist movement to their own ends through the US government. For another similar point of view see The True Torah Jews against Zionism. This oligarch style dynasty has infiltrated every aspect of your life, they own the media, they run religions and countries, finance both sides of most wars on earth recently, medicalize human distress etc.
@aghoranathi Yes, many rich families own a lot of companies, but how do the Rockefeller control the state, the state is so big in fact 1 out of 10 persons in the US works directly for the state I have a neighbor who works in the city council, is he also controlled by Rockefeller? I'm sorry, I just don't understand who and how are being controlled and your answer is putting the responsibility of all social issues on these few obscure rich people and away from the real perpetrators, the state.
@tetraedronico How? The same way you would run a company. The state and the USA are literally part of a company. Did you read the timeline ? If you believe the state is anything but a manufactured illusion to perpetrate upon people the idea that they are free :) that is fine. Please research these families if you would like to understand the answers to your questions. The Rockefeller dynasty IS THE STATE. They own you. LITERALLY! They refer to the human populace as the cattle on their farm.
@aghoranathi - Rockefeller owns me, really? what *exactly* do you mean by this... please answer this.
Also please tell me why do you say "Rockefeller IS THE STATE", so I can go to my city town hall and bring your wisdom upon these fools who think they're running the city and smack the truth upon their face, because either they're right or your are! both of you can't be right. Please illuminate me with your wisdom.
@tetraedronico Some of them know i am right. So would you if you simply researched, but i suspect you are a troll, i can not be bothered "illuminating" you if you can not be bothered to do your own reading. This is not an argument. I simply have an opinion. It matters not if yours differs. Do your own research.
@aghoranathi "I simply have an opinion", well, I don't want to be rude but nobody cares about people's opinions, people care about the truth, and if you say that Rockefeller is the state, I wan't conclusive proof that Rockefeller is the state or that is controlling it to a degree that is very significant, I want all the facts, if you have that proof then let's see it don't be selfish, otherwise you can live forever with your own opinion, but having opinion doesn't mean you have the truth.
@aghoranathi It's not "educating" me what bothers you. You're afraid to get exposed as a bearer of those ridiculous conspiracy theories taken out of rense dot com and you get mad when someone doesn't swallow them at first sight without checking any facts or evidence, so fuck off then.
@tetraedronico Good, I am glad you swore and said finally what you were thinking the whole time, troll, I've never seen Rence, ever, and I hate alex jones, educate yourself.
Im not Voting, I think Stefbot should do a "Speard the word" video and get everyone to, I'm from the UK and we have the same problems, Im sick of it, We all need to team up together!!!
"The bailout worked and we got our money back, and that's a fact". I mean WOW!!!,I cant believe I thought the political process ever worked. And who will build the roads aghhhhhh !!!
Yesterday I wrote a comment on a Danish libertarian newssite to argument against "why cannot we discuss the rules of the democracy?". Because democracy is immoral, purely simple, and politicians are afraid of morality. The first written law in Denmark (Jyske Lov, 1241) starts as following: "With Law Shall Land be Build, but would everyone just keep to themselves, and let others keep the same right, there would be no need for Law". What else is needed in a constitution (except the lack of one ;).
This is self defeating. He shows a graph to prove that republicans spend more than democrats, then he says that the numbers on the graph are all made up. He also seems to think that he knows what other people believe. He does this through the magical knowledge acquisition power of sarcasm.
Presenting two arguments which are mutually exclusive but cover all possible scenarios, is not self-defeating.
-If the numbers are wrong, and the graph made-up, then both parties (inc. Republicans) are lying, and this means they are not doing anything they say they are (o.w. lying is pointless).
-Or, the numbers are right, or close at least. Which means the Republicans are not the small-gov't party, since they increased spending at every opportunity.
I like his points except he is a closet Dem. That crap about Obama cutting the debt more than Bush is pure crap. Bush spent too much and Obama spent even more.
Yes. He's such a Democrat and Obama supporter, that he publically compared Obama to a pathological liar after hearing his campaign promises.
That said, I do think spending is a much better point of reference for state power than debt. Debt is only one of many ways for it to come upon funding, whereas spending encompasses all of them. Neither one is immune to statistical manipulation of course, but one is at least nominally all-encompassing.
This is why Democracy don't work ! A Republic in a democratic system ...Seems to have failed.?. What you say is correct... The people are in a world of illusion...Billions have been spent to put us there and to keep us there...Here is Hope all will be revealed and what is done in secrete will be harolded from the roof top. Only righteousness and justice can cure this worlds woe's.
Hmm, Ron Paul does a pretty good job of talking about it. He talks about cutting the military dramatically as well as the entitlements. And yet he is doing well in the polls.
I'm an anarcho-capitalist myself, but I support any move to smaller government, I don't see that as selling out, quite the reverse comes to mind in fact. I wonder if we need an anarchist party - with the platform of 'elect us and we'll not just eliminate a program, we'll work to eliminate government'.
It is also delusional I think to believe that the masses are going to stop behaving delusionally merely because of a a few youtube videos telling them to do so. I completely agree that the system is very highly rigged, but what is there for it? Staying home, even if it were a credible option, isn't going to fix the problem. We need rational people out there to fight against demagoguery and the cult of personality. So I say don't stay home, get out there and fight to reduce and end government.
@ostralopithicus "Incorrect, I do seek the elimination of all government, I'm just pragmatic (realistic) about how it shall be achieved."
This is the weakness in Stef's arguments. I'm in total agreement w/most of what he says, esp. politically, but he's VERY vague on how we get from "here (statism) to there (anarchy)"...he's against armed rebellion...against civil disobedience...against politics...implying that the state will just vanish once enough people "get it" (anarchy).
@ashane77 It's a problem that has vexed me for a long time. We're being robbed blind - so do those of us that see it just sit back and wait for the system to fail and then HOPE that the masses will jump on the anarchy bandwagon? I don't think that's realistic. We've gotta prep people, by getting the ideas out there and even working to co-opt government by, if necessary getting into it (openly as anarchists) with the goal/platform of shutting it down. Anarchist Party anyone?
The RP campaign does not represent a move for smaller gov't. A political campaign cannot move for smaller gov't; if it did, it would never be funded.
@lnd3005 I'm not sure what you're writing about. If you're curious about what I think regarding the degree of corruption in government, I think it is very high. but I've been involved in government politics and I know that there are honest people there. Most don't understand the immorality of the system they are perpetuating, however some do. They are fighting it, and they need our help.
@lnd3005 you know WTF I mean. There no point in a discussion if you've got a closed mind. My mind is open, but you need evidence. I've presented honest experience, you've presented empty rhetoric. By participating in the status quo we are doing one very important thing - we are leading by example and showing that one "can fight city hall". Doing nothing and being an armchair critic is pathetic.
@lnd3005 How am I pointing the gun, how am I threatening? - be specific or admit your ignorance. Doing nothing is the worst possible scenario. I'm trying to talk the gun holder into putting his gun down. You're doing nothing to prevent the violence.
The bailouts worked?! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, they worked for the elite.
Bill Maher, I think you meant to say that the American public was plundered and you're too brainwashed to notice because you get your information from sources that feed the false left/right paradigm bullshit.
@esopxe They worked in the sense that the companies that were intended to be bailed out were actually bailed out and that the money has been repaid... so yea I would say that the bailouts worked in every sense of the word.
I could follow most of your argument but the part about "shining a light in your eyes so you don't feel a hand rummaging through your wallet" makes no sense. Perhaps you wouldn't be able to see, but unless the light had some taser-like power, you would still be able to feel.
Well-put, Stephan. Unfortunately, only us members of the choir listen and understand the truth. But you definitely hit it spot on. Non-participation and nonviolent, noncooperation with the system. Any talk of revolution to "change" or overthrow the system is basically asking for increased amounts of violence directed against people; trade one gun for another. We need peaceful evolution, not violent revolution. Alas, I don't trust our tribalist species to be rational much of the time.
The elected government officials] are neither our servants, agents, attorneys, nor representatives . . . for we do not make ourselves responsible for their acts ... no individual who may be injured in his person or property, by acts of Congress, can come to the individual electors, and hold them responsible for these acts of their so-called agents or representatives. This fact proves that these pretended agents of the people, of everybody, are really the agents of nobody.
And.....I would chop off right at the knees Baracks flying around the country costing us oodles of tax dollars campaigning! Just go to Citizens Against Government Waste. What about the lazy SOB's that have been on the dole their whole lives and do NOT work?
Oh please, Maher is just rude, he doesn't even give her a chance to answer and purposely makes her ill at ease. He is an asshole. Yes, Bill, I would cut defense spending, the first place is I would pull out of every other country and bring our boys home to protect US. And no, we have not received all our money back from the bailouts - is he nuts????
I would cut, Bill, turtle bridges and the funding of the Murtha Airport and all the other stupid things we pay for.
I recently had a talk with the woman running for regional councillor. She asked why I wouldn't and had never voted. I tried to explain that it was pointless and that I didn't care for the idea of someone else making decisions for me. Im an adult. I make my own decisions, and if everyone realized this, we wouldn't need a government, only altruism. I wish that she could see the value, the perfect sense that this video makes. Thanks Stefan
@cLUTz83 It's not pointless. If you truly believe in no govt...then not voting and someone like FDR wins and usurps more power then constitution allows and enacts entitlement programs, for example, then your dream of no govt gets even further away since the govt grows. If you voted for Ron Paul....he would (hopefully) shrink govt, getting closer to your goal. If you voted for the lesser of 2 evils, then still, you'd be closer to your goal as the middle person would grow govt more slowly.
Ron Paul? Ron Paul. RON PAUL!!

Listen for the sound of silence.
Participating in elections, is
supporting the current system,
no mater how one votes.
So the only way to protest, the system, is by not voting,
while any vote, even for Rhinoceros, or "none of the above", or even spoiling a ballot is actually consented agreement for the continuation of this current system.
How many times have you heard, "it doesn't matter who you vote for as long as you vote", before?
If you have less say, after you vote, then why vote?
rongrite 1 year ago
@rongrite tax revolts, as mentioned by others would be an effective strategem, not voting however, will not only change nothing, but will make government bigger and worse. Vote for smaller government, or run for office openly AS AN ANARCHIST. Put it out there in everyone's face as an option. Waiting around for the collapse is a WASTE of time as, after the collapse, uninformed people will merely create a new government.

It may not be perfect but it has to be better than what we have.
cchessmaster 1 year ago
@cchessmaster
I actually think popular democracy is a less-bad form of govt than representational democracy. I'm from California and, while the citizenry lean heavily "left", they typically do a better job than the legislature when given the chance through the referendum process--which isn't saying a WHOLE lot, but the non-political class seems to be less prone to corruption and more prone to commonsense than politicians.
ashane77 1 year ago
@cchessmaster

One of the key problems to moving to a truly free society is getting back control of money. One of the key problems in getting back money is pricing energy in that new money. The problem with that is that the ruling class own the energy reserves of the world. Bitcoin is a great example of a system of money that would free us from government and bankers. . .but if oil producing nations won't sell oil for bitcoins, it'll never takeoff I fear.

ggadguy 1 year ago
@ggadguy If nobody voted and nobody had faith in the political system, what would it matter if one person voted for another? They could pass all the laws they want and nobody would listen. Getting someone elected doesn't magically give them power. They must also have a certain portion of the population willing to do the dirty work. Otherwise, you just have some idiot with no power calling himself president.
esalian9 1 year ago
@esalian9 That's pure fantasy and you know it. We'll never be rid of government if we don't engage people and that will mean getting involved in government openly as anarchists -running on the platform of shutting government down. What we need is an anarchist party. No, it's not an oxymoron.
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@ostralopithicus
The very NOTION of getting rid of social security/medicare/military is rejected out-of-hand--despite the overwhelming evidence that they're unsustainable.
ashane77 1 year ago 2
@ashane77 We disagree about the effectiveness of a party to change government, however I think it's obvious that if such a party were formed it would help to educate people about anarchism whether or not it succeeded in getting anyone elected. Furthermore, many individual politicians (regardless of their party) have done a good job of voting their conscience and are working toward a smaller government, so I think the video here is clearly a generalization.

We need our own new rulers, real farm people sharing with each other in and across all communities.

pretorious700 1 year ago
@aghoranathi I'm totally with you on the denouncing of the evil state, but what do you mean by "Rockefeller controlled?". What exactly is David Rockefeller controlling, is he controlling some politicians or all including all employees? can you name a few that are actually being controlled? how are these politicians being controlled and what evidence do you have for that? I just would like to understand since many people seem to make this same claim that I don't understand. sorry for my bad engli
tetraedronico 1 year ago
@tetraedronico Control is maintained because the ruling class are the OWNERS of much of the stock of the major corporations of the globe. Rockefellers are the owners of much of the stock of big oil. Oil runs the global economy. All governments are servants to the hand that feeds them.
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@ostralopithicus so you say that the government vows to whatever rockefeller says because he's the master who owns all oil companies? is that what you say? the biggest badass government in the history of the world is afraid of this man? I totally fail to connect these dots. sorry.
tetraedronico 1 year ago
@tetraedronico you're overstating what I'm saying. It's not monolithic, sure there are other opinions and other agendas. Government however is a group of people that work to overcome their differences in order to take advantage of the resources they control. Rockefeller is not 'one man' the family controls many institutions in the same manner as the owner of your corner shop controls what he keeps on his shelves. These many institutions work to put many people into political power.
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@ostralopithicus - Certainly having so much wealth would bring someone a proportional level of influence and command over their property, that's what ownership is all about, but that as opposed to control the government for evil purposes is an outstanding claim that requires outstanding evidence. Blaming Rockefeller for the evils that the state does with non existing evidence is totally the wrong approach for social justice and is very irresponsible, it just points the finger to the wrong people
tetraedronico 1 year ago
@tetraedronico , You're again overstating my position. I'm not blaming the Rockefeller family, I'm blaming the system first, and the ruling class second - which includes the Rockefeller family. Although, I'd say it's a close second as the ruling class has adjusted the system severely to favor their own & has regulated a glass ceiling over the heads of the masses in order to maintain their monopoly position. The Rockefellers have been key in this. Study the history of the corporation & schooling
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@tetraedronico There is plenty of evidence for the influence of the Rockefeller family in government, however giving it all here is nie impossible -posting links isn't allowed & the format is too limited. As to evil/good, these terms are subjective. Do you find planned parenthood evil? Some do (I do) - it's a racist and eugenicist program. look into who is behind it and why. Is the public schooling system evil? What was the original intent? Rockefeller's were instrumental in it's creation.
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@ostralopithicus The idea of public education has been around since the ancient Greeks (Plato's republic?), but assuming all you say about Rockefeller is true, can you tell me why do you focus so much on him? What do you think people should do about the influence Rockefeller has in the government. Tell me why should regular people like me care about Rockefeller at all, since his influence in government seem something that is totally out of anyone's control. I'm anarchist btw, already reject...
tetraedronico 1 year ago

Effectively, corporations (themajority owners) are engaging in govt-subsidized lobbying, though technically they're apolitical.
ashane77 1 year ago
@ashane77 these elitists group certainly exercise some level of influence over the policies carried out by the government, but this doesn't mean that once the influence of these groups is eliminated that the government will become a benevolent entity. The state is founded on the monopoly and the initiation of force, that can't last forever, a new world order must emerge where voluntary arrangements must replace the initiation of violence and coercion.
tetraedronico 1 year ago
@tetraedronico
Its , more-or-less, a closed system which works to place only the "right" kind of people in power.
ashane77 1 year ago
@tetraedronico Read a timeline of the Rothschild Family, they have a dynasty, they and their cousins the Rockefellers control all the banks and use the zionist movement to their own ends through the US government. For another similar point of view see The True Torah Jews against Zionism. This oligarch style dynasty has infiltrated every aspect of your life, they own the media, they run religions and countries, finance both sides of most wars on earth recently, medicalize human distress etc.
aghoranathi 1 year ago
@aghoranathi Yes, many rich families own a lot of companies, but how do the Rockefeller control the state, the state is so big in fact 1 out of 10 persons in the US works directly for the state I have a neighbor who works in the city council, is he also controlled by Rockefeller? I'm sorry, I just don't understand who and how are being controlled and your answer is putting the responsibility of all social issues on these few obscure rich people and away from the real perpetrators, the state.
tetraedronico 1 year ago
@tetraedronico How? The same way you would run a company. The state and the USA are literally part of a company. Did you read the timeline ? If you believe the state is anything but a manufactured illusion to perpetrate upon people the idea that they are free :) that is fine. Please research these families if you would like to understand the answers to your questions. The Rockefeller dynasty IS THE STATE. They own you. LITERALLY! They refer to the human populace as the cattle on their farm.

aghoranathi 1 year ago
@aghoranathi "I simply have an opinion", well, I don't want to be rude but nobody cares about people's opinions, people care about the truth, and if you say that Rockefeller is the state, I wan't conclusive proof that Rockefeller is the state or that is controlling it to a degree that is very significant, I want all the facts, if you have that proof then let's see it don't be selfish, otherwise you can live forever with your own opinion, but having opinion doesn't mean you have the truth.

What else is needed in a constitution (except the lack of one ;).

got the bail out money back?
nope, we got the number back, not the value, that was spent on it.
we got the number back so fast thanks to the depreciation of the currency against valuable material goods.

This is self defeating. He shows a graph to prove that republicans spend more than democrats, then he says that the numbers on the graph are all made up. He also seems to think that he knows what other people believe. He does this through the magical knowledge acquisition power of sarcasm.
jonnyblamey 1 year ago
@jonnyblamey

Right. B/c his video specifically addresses republican voters.
Wait. No, it doesn't.
lnd3005 1 year ago
I like his points except he is a closet Dem. That crap about Obama cutting the debt more than Bush is pure crap. Bush spent too much and Obama spent even more.
wvevelyn 1 year ago
@wvevelyn

@wvevelyn How can he subscribe to a political party if he is an anarchist?
narutofan1108 1 year ago
This is why Democracy don't work ! A Republic in a democratic system ...Seems to have failed.?. What you say is correct... The people are in a world of illusion...Billions have been spent to put us there and to keep us there...Here is Hope all will be revealed and what is done in secrete will be harolded from the roof top. Only righteousness and justice can cure this worlds woe's.
dmhappy2777 1 year ago
Hmm, Ron Paul does a pretty good job of talking about it. He talks about cutting the military dramatically as well as the entitlements. And yet he is doing well in the polls.
I'm an anarcho-capitalist myself, but I support any move to smaller government, I don't see that as selling out, quite the reverse comes to mind in fact. I wonder if we need an anarchist party - with the platform of 'elect us and we'll not just eliminate a program, we'll work to eliminate government'.
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
It is also delusional I think to believe that the masses are going to stop behaving delusionally merely because of a a few youtube videos telling them to do so. I completely agree that the system is very highly rigged, but what is there for it? Staying home, even if it were a credible option, isn't going to fix the problem. We need rational people out there to fight against demagoguery and the cult of personality. So I say don't stay home, get out there and fight to reduce and end government.
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@ostralopithicus No, you are not an anarcho-capitalist, you are a minarchst. Real anarcho capitalism rejects all government control by definition.
I really don't care much for labels, but clarity is nice.

@pretorious700 Incorrect, I do seek the elimination of all government, I'm just pragmatic (realistic) about how it shall be achieved.
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@ostralopithicus "Incorrect, I do seek the elimination of all government, I'm just pragmatic (realistic) about how it shall be achieved."
This is the weakness in Stef's arguments. I'm in total agreement w/most of what he says, esp. politically, but he's VERY vague on how we get from "here (statism) to there (anarchy)"...he's against armed rebellion...against civil disobedience...against politics...implying that the state will just vanish once enough people "get it" (anarchy).
ashane77 1 year ago
@ashane77 It's a problem that has vexed me for a long time. We're being robbed blind - so do those of us that see it just sit back and wait for the system to fail and then HOPE that the masses will jump on the anarchy bandwagon? I don't think that's realistic. We've gotta prep people, by getting the ideas out there and even working to co-opt government by, if necessary getting into it (openly as anarchists) with the goal/platform of shutting it down. Anarchist Party anyone?
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@ostralopithicus
The RP campaign does not represent a move for smaller gov't. A political campaign cannot move for smaller gov't; if it did, it would never be funded.

I take it you also believe there is "small mafia" mobster gang?
lnd3005 1 year ago
@lnd3005 I'm not sure what you're writing about. If you're curious about what I think regarding the degree of corruption in government, I think it is very high. but I've been involved in government politics and I know that there are honest people there. Most don't understand the immorality of the system they are perpetuating, however some do. They are fighting it, and they need our help.
ostralopithicus 1 year ago
@ostralopithicus
You know, it doesn't really matter whether a gangster is honest about how he's going to break your legs.
lnd3005 1 year ago
@lnd3005 you know WTF I mean. There no point in a discussion if you've got a closed mind. My mind is open, but you need evidence. I've presented honest experience, you've presented empty rhetoric. By participating in the status quo we are doing one very important thing - we are leading by example and showing that one "can fight city hall". Doing nothing and being an armchair critic is pathetic.

@ostralopithicus
Yes, you are such a hero for trying to point a gun at those with whom you disagree.
lnd3005 1 year ago
@lnd3005 How am I pointing the gun, how am I threatening? - be specific or admit your ignorance. Doing nothing is the worst possible scenario. I'm trying to talk the gun holder into putting his gun down. You're doing nothing to prevent the violence.

Yeah, they worked for the elite.
Bill Maher, I think you meant to say that the American public was plundered and you're too brainwashed to notice because you get your information from sources that feed the false left/right paradigm bullshit.
esopxe 1 year ago

Thanks Stefan
cLUTz83 1 year ago 7
@cLUTz83 It's not pointless. If you truly believe in no govt...then not voting and someone like FDR wins and usurps more power then constitution allows and enacts entitlement programs, for example, then your dream of no govt gets even further away since the govt grows. If you voted for Ron Paul....he would (hopefully) shrink govt, getting closer to your goal. If you voted for the lesser of 2 evils, then still, you'd be closer to your goal as the middle person would grow govt more slowly.
