  • I've actually just started working with Python. It is seeming fairly interesting so far, and the fact that it may help with the research I wish to do in the future (in robotics or neurology) just makes it that much better.

  • What's so great about this video? The title is utterly misleading - the scientist in the video himself acknowledges that he uses R, Mathematica, etc. in addition to Python. The photography couldn't be worse.

    I do like Python, but not this video. Kudos to the BioPython project.

  • Well I think the main point is that python is used as a framework to link all the disparate tools a scientist typically uses - not common for scientists. Perhaps I should have chosen the title 'Scientific Programming Frameworks with Python'. Sorry about the confusion.

    Note that I mention Mathematica in what scientists sometimes use (not me though), but I don't talk about it at all in terms of integrating in my python platform.
