Thanks for the info. We are trying a experiment out with lye to see if it will seal the SS to keep it from leaching iron off it. I was told that would help. Only time will tell. We are trying new things all the time. Good luck on yours I watched all your vids looks great!
LOL took me a sec to figure out what you was saying. I didnt scroll down to see your other comment. It did the goal I was wanting burn 87 octane gas vs 93 and got some more low end power to boot. Umm I dont think Ill be drinking that anytime soon lol
Heck, depending on your investment, just the 20 cent per gallon difference (thats in my area atleast) would add up pretty quickly. thats before any mileage gains.
Where I live its 30 cents difference from 93 to 87 octane. I messed up when I said 20 cents. I pulled one of my spark plugs to see if it was getting hot. It looked really clean and it was the color it should be. My truck use to turn them black every few months and had to change them out. We have been chewing over the idea of poping one of the heads off to see what it looks like inside. But it will be a while before we do that.
If that was true you wouldnt get the big bang from HHO gas like you do now. I would have to say it doesnt have much effect if any due to the small amount used.
I dont know nothing from nothing, but if that is happening, it seems to me that the baking soda would only be in it for the sodium in it. if the Carbon in the baking powder is fouling everything up then what would happen if you just used table salt so you would be getting just the sodium? You would probably get some salt buildup on your plates if the level would run low. Just something I was thinking about.
You will get Chlorine gas if you add Salt. The 304L stainless will leach iron from it because of the low grade of SS. But the higher grades like 316L wont leach iron as bad. Plus baking soda doesnt make a toxic gas.
May I recommend using laytex gloves as you handle the components. I'm guessing this is 304 stainless steel which has not only Iron which rusts, but there is also chrome. Chrome can leach out to form Cr6 (hexavalent chromium) which is a carcinogen. I'm not sure if your electrolyte causes the Chromium to leach, but I'd think it's best to be safe on that front.
Thanks for posting your results. We all learn from each other on this. I just got my HHO generator hooked up. Will make a short vid
clean your unit with CLR and be amazed

I was so busy being an idiot wondering how it tasted I forgot to ask what kind of results it has given thus far.

Call me crazy but, don't we use baking soda to control fire...so wouldn't that limit your ignition in the combustion chamber??I'm just asking...

Well also the Baking soda would not break out of the solution. all that breaks out is Hydrogen and Oxygen.
Hey HHOhotrod, It looks nasty... but how does it taste ;)

I think the baking soda turns into carbon but dont hold me to it.
